The kitchen is the heart of our home it's where everyone gathers during the holidays. It's normally the first room that I decorate for each holiday and this year is no exception. |
The kitchen is pretty large so I decorate it in sections. I've shared one section earlier and I will give you a link at the end of this post if you haven't seen that part of the kitchen yet. |
I have been picking up ugly ceramic houses at yard sales to use in my kitchen Christmas theme this year......Home for the Holidays. |
This is the second house that I gave a makeover...... |
Before......................................................................................................After |
And lastly, the third house that I gave a Christmas makeover. |
I got in a hurry and didn't take a before photo of my church, but the lady I bought it from actually had two of them and I took both of them. |
I showcased each one of my houses by placing them on a milk glass cake plates. |
I added some pink touches to the existing ceramic Christmas tree. |
One of the Santa heads that I found at a yard sale over the summer. |
I will decorate the other kitchen counters in a similar look. If you follow my posts, you know I have quite a few more houses to give a makeover....lol! |
I found some plaid Christmas fabric at Hobby Lobby the other day and am "living with it" a few days to see if I want to make a table runner out of part of the fabric. |
Here is a peek at the other area of the kitchen that I have decorated for Christmas and a link to that post if you want to see more......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2016/11/home-for-holidays.html |
H is healing nicely from his surgery last week.....will get the stitches out next Wed., This week and next week he will have PT. I'm still playing nurse and "gopher" ....lol! |

What an amazing collection of fixer-upper ceramic houses for Christmas. I would have never thought of buying houses at garage sales to make over.
