This week has just flown by! I can't believe it's already Thursday.....or that Monday is Labor Day! |
I normally have a vase of flowers as my centerpiece, but I changed things up a bit this week. |
I bought a pad of these Longhorn paper placemats from Amazon about a year ago. I don't remember if there was 30 or 50 placemats on the pad, but I've really enjoyed using them in my tablescapes. |
When it's time for dinner, we just grab a plate out of the metal bucket and "fill er up" |
Here's a close up of the dishes |
Last week I had a big bouquet of baby's breath as the centerpiece for my tablescape...... |
I made some changes to the mirrored shelf unit hanging on the wall. |
I took all away all the milk glass I had displayed on the shelves. I then filled it very simply with a picture and two small metal buckets of flowers. |
The field of cotton picture is framed by a thin strip of metal and works perfectly with all the farmhouse decor that seem to be creeping into our home. |
I hope you enjoyed my tablescape this week....it was so much fun to create! |
Hello! I haven't visited this page in a few years now but used to be a regular blogger till my blog crashed and I lost all of my pictures.
ReplyDeletePenny, I so remember your blog filled with the most beautiful tablescapes. Your love of beauty shines through in your posts.
I love the silver truck.
ReplyDeleteLovely table! Your home is like a breath of peace.
ReplyDeletePenny, I love all your new decorating. So many pretty things. I love the bucket, truck, and the picture of the cotton. So interesting. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI am really in love with the juxtaposition of the metal & galvanized items, the farmhouse decor, and all the pink and ruffles and lace. Its just so unexpected and clever.

ReplyDeleteWhat a clever alternative to a floral centerpiece! I love the idea of showcasing dishware, especially when it's as pretty as yours! And that metal rooster - what can I say? Love the whimsy of it!
ReplyDeleteYour centerpiece is darling! Thanks for sharing @Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet story about your granddaughter's table and chair here! Love your farmhouse decorating and the Texas longhorn... well, I need a few of those placemats to come on over and free range around my home! I wrote about visiting Fort Worth's Stockyards back in July. We visited during the last week of June and the longhorns were really cool! Great place if you haven't visited!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your Labor Day holiday weekend,
Barb :)

Everything is pretty of course, but that field of cotton picture is gorgeous. Of course the long horn placemats are wonderful as well.
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteI love the truck and the Farmer's Market tin bucket!! Very pretty! The slime of Frog bottle that you asked about was a vintage glass maple syrup bottle.....
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Deb
