I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. I'm always a little sad when Christmas is over, but then I get excited to start a new year. |
I don't get in any hurry to take down all my Christmas decor, I do a little bit each day. I usually start by packing up all the Santa's and Merry Christmas signs. |
The mantle got a fresh winter look...... |
I made a snow ball tree for the centerpiece for the mantel...... |
I surrounded my snow ball tree with winter birds.... |
I had 2 tree's on each side of the fireplace for Christmas, I took down the tree on each side that were decorated in a Christmas theme and kept the flocked ones up for my Winter theme. |
I changed the Christmas fabric on the chair for a simple buffalo check fabric. |
The flocked tree's are decorated with frosted flowers for winter.....do you spy the sweet couple of reindeer's on the side table? |
I will gradually take things out so the house won't suddenly be bare! |
I took down the big white tree on this side of the fireplace. |
I used the snow ball garland that was on this tree to make my snow ball tree for the mantel. |
I replaced the garland with frosted peonies....... |
Here's how this side of the family room looked all dressed for Christmas....... |
And here is the fresh new Winter look for 2020! |
Love the before and after side by side comparisons so we can really see the changes. I have been taking down our Christmas décor but haven't yet decided what I'm putting up in it's place (though I really need to decide soon as our mantle looks so weirdly bare!). Thanks for sharing with us at Encouraging Hearts and Home. Pinned.
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, I enjoyed my visit here today. I love your style! Have you painted your things yourself? I would love to update my dark furniture. Your outside porch is to cute! I will need to come back and explore. I have my blogger site and a web home too that is linked at my blogger site.
ReplyDeletePenny, It's so pretty at your house. I love seeing all the rooms. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Hi Stefeni, I found them in the clearance isle at Target just a few days ago....xoxo
DeleteWow! I love seeing what your Christmas decorations looked like AND how you are transitioning to Winter gradually. I think those are good ideas that I will keep in mind...to try to keep up things that don't scream Christmas to gradually let the decor go. I saw your post over at the "Love Your Creativity" blog party.
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Those trees are so pretty!! You have me looking forward to decorating for winter and for Valentine's Day....
Hugs,
Debbie
Really pretty, Penny! We still need to take down our tree and I will probably do that on Friday since we are driving home tomorrow from visiting our daughter. Love the ice skates and the sweet little birdies!!!
