The kitchen is ready for Christmas! After all the cooking that was done at Thanksgiving, it needed a good cleaning. So, I have been cleaning and H has been busy installing under the cabinet lighting. |
This Cherry and Cable cream and sugar and butter dish belonged to my mother.. |
This side of the kitchen is our coffee station... |
I added a Santa and... |
some more of mother's pretty green glass ware. |
I did this side table in ginger bread and cupcakes... |
I like to keep candy canes out for the grands when they come by... |
Ginger bread cookie jars.... |
Kyleigh (my 5 year old grand) and I had fun making this garland! It is real marshmallow's that I strung on wire and hung on the tree...Kyleigh ate more than she strung! |
This ginger bread train was my mother's...it lights up and twinkles |
On the breakfast table, I have a vintage Spode Christmas tree and matching place mats. |
When I found it at a yard sale, it had all the original ornaments on it. But I have added a few more! |
I found this sweet Fitz and Floyd sugar and creamer at a yard sale... |
H put a light in the cupboard above the range too! |
Remember my post on the French drying rack that I used for a tree... |
I hope you enjoyed the tour of our Christmas Kitchen! |

Your kitchen is just so darn cute and charming. I feel like I gained 5 pounds just touring around through all your delightful ceramic gingerbread things! We put in the under cabinet lighting (& above, too) when we did some kitchen renovations recently. It makes such a huge difference. You really don't realize just how dark it is until you have those. So enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas Kitchen is so charming. Every litle touch is precious. I adore the marshmallows strung for the tree!!!! My granddaughter would LOVE this.

ReplyDeleteHi Penny,
ReplyDeleteHow great to find your post today. We're just finishing our kitchen remodel. You know that hose under the sink that leads to the ice maker in the frige? Check it often...! Anyway, it was a messy water leak so now I have a new kitchen. Hubby was trying to convince me to go with the LED puck lights under the cabinets and I was against it because I have them (in halogen form) inside glass cupboards and they build up so much heat! Anyway, you convinced me this morning so he's off getting all his supplies.
Your home is just lovely. Each spot seems to have something to give pleasure to the eyes. Christmas has always been my time of the year and since this year I've done no decorating I'll be more than ready to deck our halls for next Christmas. Thank you for helping out and have a very Merry Christmas!
That is beautiful! I love the color of your cabinets! You're welcome to share this at SHOW-licious Craft Showcase anytime! :)
