Oh my goodness, the soup tureen is totally stunning. What an amazing find and the price is fabulous too. I also love your little dogs, they are so precious. I love these and have been hunting for a pair forever. I finally found one, but need the pair.

Oh that swan is beautiful! My mom loved swans and collected them. She would of loved that! The price is pretty amazing, too!
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever seen a Duck Soup tureen before. So cute!! Love that metal Cow sign!! And everything else and Kyleigh will look darling in that night gown. I thought of going this weekend but it was in the 90's and so humid that I decided to stay home in the air conditioning. I am no lover of heat, that is for sure. I am saving up for a big Community Yard sale and flea market in the town where my church is on June 22. It should be a really good day because it is a really nice area.....
We are on vacation now!!
Hugs,
Deb
I have never seen that....If you put the ladle in...does it make the swan heart?

I have never seen a swan tureen before either. What a great piece. I'm with Ceekay- I was wondering if the ladle goes in the front and then forms the swan heart- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI don't know where the ladle goes...lol! There is not a hole anywhere on the lid for it to come out of, but I can't for the life of me figure out what to do with that silly ladle....help me ladies!

ReplyDeleteI love the resales too. I came home with a $10 sewing machine and lots of fabrics, stencils, books and clothes for my granddaughter all from our church rummage sale (the sewing machine is perfect, she got a fancy model). We also like other church sales, resale and thrift shops plus flea markets.
ReplyDeleteFrom Moo to You - he he. Great finds. That swan tureen and ladle is so unusual. I have my recent thrift store & yard sale finds on my site, too. Isn't it fun? Take care - Dawn

Your garage sale treasures are beautiful. i especially like the two dogs. i have a pair that i payed a lot more for than you did. They are from England and called Staffordshire. Does the little sticker on the bottom say Made in England? If it does, you are one blessed woman.
