I added a few new touches to the kitchen today. I have continued with my cupcake theme.. . |
I already had a cupcake picture hung on the wall and cookbooks displayed in a vintage mail box... |
I love the way our kitchen is flooded with natural light... |
I added a sweet cupcake box filled with new dish towels and coffee mugs... |
I got the box at Tuesday Morning for $15. It is a very sturdy box and had four coffee cups in it.... I bought the 2 pink doilies at a yard sale this past week end for $1.50 |
I put one of the coasters on an ease and added a cupcake oven mitt to the existing collection of vintage crocheted mitts... |
I also bought a set of 4 ceramic coasters at Tuesday Morning for $7. They have a pastel scene of cupcakes on them that match the cups. |
I bought a pack of 2 hand towels, a wash cloth, and an oven mitt a Walmart that I have scattered around the kitchen. |
I added a couple of the coasters to the existing vignette beside the coffee pot.. |
I found this pink clock at an antique store over the week end for $1.50... |
I already had this sweet tea towel... |
and there are no new changes to the open cupboards... |
So cute with all the cupcakes! Love the bright light coming in and the colorful pink! Beautiful kitchen! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love how your kitchen is so light an airy! I love the burner covers--are those just pan lids?
ReplyDeleteYes Sandy, they are just plain enamel lids! I have a set of silver lids and also a set of china lids...they are all just odd lids that I have found at yard sales. Hugs, Penny
DeleteThe theme is adorable! Love the use of enamel lids for burner covers. LOVEEEEE.............
ReplyDeleteHi Penny,
ReplyDeleteLove it, so light and fresh. Great stove burner cover idea and the strainer hanging light is too. I bet you enjoy this great space.
Have a great week.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Do you have a kitchen just because it came with the house or do you actually use it? LOL! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Schookums! Yes, we use our kitchen all the time...if you notice, I never have anything on the island, and that is where we do most of our cooking.
DeleteHi Penny! Oh, your kitchen is just so charming! I love that pretty chandy and your cupcake theme is darling! The little vignettes all around are so cute too. Now on your oven wall, do I see green paint? I love it. I have a very small kitchen and my wanna be island (it's really a peninsula) is painted a soft green like yours!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Yes Shelia, you do see green! I painted one section of the cabinets green just for fun! Hugs, Penny
DeleteLove how bright and big your kitchen is and the oh so pretty pops of color....You also take wonderful pictures, can I ask what kind of camera you use? Mine is getting a tiny bit tempermental...so I am on the prowl for a new one and I have always believed in word of mouth...
ReplyDeleteXO,
Christine
Hi Christine! I am also on the look out for a new camera! Mine is a Vivitar T324 (I think about 70-80 dollars) that I bought at Walmart many, many years ago! It is still a great little camera, but does not do well if the lighting is not perfect....that is one of the reasons that I take a lot of my pictures in the Kitchen...the lighting is great! Hugs, Penny
DeleteSuper cute!
ReplyDeleteDarling vignettes. You are so blessed to have great natural light. I am loving your chandy! So gorgeous.
