We have been having some really good auctions in our area recently and Saturday was no exception. There were two good ones so H and I had a tough time choosing. |
Isn't this tea set gorgeous! For $25 I got the tea pot, sugar and creamer..... |
4 cups and saucers.... |
and 4 dessert plates. |
They are marked Century Rose and are from Germany. |
I couldn't pass up this scale for $10. |
This was all in a box I bought for $7.50 (333 on the receipt below) The ashtray was the only thing in the box that I really wanted, but I am happy with the other things too |
I have a collection of fancy coffee table lighters and this ash tray will look pretty displayed with them. |
Here is the marking on the back. |

ReplyDeleteOooh what fun! I haven't been to an auction in many years. Your rose china is a wonderful find! What an unusual shape for a tea pot. You sure did get a bargain! And your others goodies too, what a deal. That is one sweet stag too, and will look fab on your mantle.

Penny,
ReplyDeleteSuch great finds!! The tea set is drop dead gorgeous!!! Love the scale and everything else for that matter!!
Joe and I will be going to a Town Community Yard sale by our church. The homes are all no older than 35 years old with lots of new homes. Plus our church is putting out tables with flea market items and the one place where I participate in a Craft Fair will have the gym rented out to vendors. It is Joe's log weekend and I took Friday night off so we will be out early Sat. morning and hopefully, find some great things and have fun. I have been waiting for this one and saving so i hope i will not be disappointed....
Hugs,
Deb
Interesting finds! We attended an auction last weekend too. I'd love to see some of your lighter collection. I have a unique lighter I purchased at an estate sale....it is small and shaped like a genie's lamp.
ReplyDeleteThanks, June
I love your tea set! What a deal. I love auctions too. It's amazing how cheaply you can buy treasures. So glad you showed us. Can't wait to see the rest of your haul. These are some of my favorite posts.

All that tea set for only $25? Cup and saucer sets alone are priced at $60 + in our local antique shop.
