It is already July..the summer is going by way too fast! The flower beds are all planted and it is time to add what I like to call the "Final Touch". It's time to add all those little things that make you smile as you walk around the yard. I have added the "usual" to a beautiful hydrangea plant ...... child size vintage chair, hand painted stool, some bird nests and a bird house. BUT...how often do you see a chenille crib blanket in your flower garden? It's that kind of additions that makes me smile...the final touch!

I could sit in your garden all day and just dream away. Love the pink garden chair and the chenille blanket too. My mother used to have a set of green chairs when I was young. I wish I had them now. take care Darlene

So many beautiful touches. Your garden is really welcoming. I LOVE chenille! I use a chenille coverlet on our bed in the summer when it's too hot for quilts.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a lovely place.. so many, many treasures you have.. I could spent the whole day in heaven there.. The simple truth is you have a good eye for treasures.
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteSimply fantastic!! I love those new bird houses on the glass ware!! Joe and I are actually working on a recycling project with bird houses but I won't have it finished until next week some time. I have to get out and buy some glassware to play with now!!

I hope you will stop in later to see how my Dr.'s appt went today with my Ortho Surgeon...
And I THANK you for all your support and encouraging words as I shed these unhealthy pounds!

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Thanks for sharing so I could "visit".
ReplyDeleteThe wind must not blow badly there or rain or have a big dog in your yard, lol. I'm looking at all your pretties and wishing I had that but know of a big 72 lb. blk lab/border collie that would have a field day in your gorgeous garden. It all looks so darned pretty, great place for a glass of ice tea and some cookies.
ReplyDeleteOur wind blows like a tornado at least half the time, no setting pretties out for us. It's so nice to be able to look at your wonderful garden and dream. Happy summer, enjoy your special garden.
