| The first thing we did was move everything to the other side of the room. H used the same paint as he did on the outside brick, but since he didn't use the sprayer, it took most of the day to brush the paint on that brick!! |

| The picture on the left is "before"...the right is "after" I like both looks, but I love the new fresh look for now! I traded the pink rug for the burgandy one that was in the entry way. (the burgandy rug is a $25 yard sale find that I don't think I have showed you before) Bonus....the entry way has a fresh look with it's new pink rug! I decided not to put back up the flag over the sofa. So, I replaced it with the clock that was over the desk (to the left of the sofa in the "before" picture) . See that HUGE rose stem on the left side of the sofa? I bought that a long, long, time ago. I saw some big flowers like that at HL the other day, so I drug my big rose stem out of storage! (FYI...my "storage" is the studio...that's why I can't participate in the great party that is going on right now..... my "creative space" is a mess! (Please visit my friend Debbie to get all the details about the party and see her gorgeous creative space ..... http://debbie-dabble.blogspot.com/2013/07/my-creative-space-2013.html ) I washed all the sofa slipcovers and put them away. I didn't want to put another slip cover on so I just embellished the sofa a little..tehee! I added a sheet valance to the bottom of the sofa....put a lace tablecloth across the back....and tucked some sheer curtain fabric over the cushions. With a little tucking and pinning the new covers will stay in place pretty good... The newly painted wall makes the room so much lighter....I love it! |

| The matching love seat got a similar redo...but I didn't cover the seat cushions. I used sheers on the love seat arms and across the back. They match the sheers I used on the sofa. H will paint the brick on the wall behind the love seat another day when we want to work inside. |

| You can just barely see the floral sofa fabric thru the sheer cover over it... I love that kind of look! I have had this sofa and love seat so long they are now vintage...lol! They are both still in excellent condition and I love them as much today as I did the day I bought them. |

| Of course the chair was begging for a redo...she didn't want to be left out! I took off the chenille throw ...left most of the chair fabric showing...I did add a little skirt to the bottom and some sheer fabric to the back of the chair. I used some vintage crochet pieces to cover the chair arm |

| I put a tea set on the ottoman....This set belonged to my mother, it has the tea pot, 4 cups and 4 saucers...creamer and sugar bowl. I would have shown the creamer and sugar bowl, but I could not find them anywhere. They'll show up sometime! |

| And another little tea set on the side table by the love seat....I bought this set at a yard sale several years ago for a few dollars . The teapot's lid was missing so I turned it into a vase! |

| When I decide that I am tired of the look of a room....I don't go buy new....I redo and move stuff around! The sheers that I used on the sofa and love seat have had many previous "lives" The ruffle on the chair skirt had a previous life as a curtain in my bedroom. |

You are truly amazing with how you layer fabrics of all kinds over everything!! I love it!! I will have to try something like this on my Den chairs....
I am working on a few posts to have ready to post over the next few weeks as I will probably start to pack up my downstairs starting in the beginning of August. I cringe when I think about it but I can't wait to have the new flooring in. I also want to paint the upper wall in the Dining Room. Just a slightly different shade of what is there and we may re paint the Living Room too! I am debating about an area rug in the Living Room. I LOVE both your pink rug and burgundy rugs!!
This week , it will be in the 90's all week so I will be stuck in the house with the air conditioners on!! I don't know if my garden will survive the heat even with me watering it every day.....

I particularly liked the addition of that giant clock over the sofa as it contributed to a more rustic feel into the room now that it's the centerpiece. The sheer covers also look amazing! They definitely bring out the vintage feel on your love seats and sofa. Good job!
