I've made a few more changes in the sun room. If you follow my posts, you will remember that we just painted the north brick wall of the sun room. I love the new white. |
I moved the pale green door (in the picture on the left) to the south wall behind the dining table. |
See how I replaced the ladder with the green door? I just love moving things around...tehee! We hung a lamp over the table for some much needed light when we eat there after dark. |
I bought this hanging lamp at the auction earlier this year for $10. We painted it white....as well as the mirror hanging on the door. |
The place setting are all mix and match... |
I brought out some of the silverware that my mother decorated with roses years ago. (I will replace them when we get ready to eat) |
She glued little flowers on each one..... |
I bought this small tablecloth and 4 matching napkins at the auction. They were in a box of linens that I got for $5. |

If I were the kind of artist who painted home interiors, I would definitely choose to paint some of your rooms!
ReplyDeleteTutto completamente meraviglioso!!
ReplyDeleteUn abbraccio!!
Sabry!!
I especially love the table appliqued linen!
ReplyDeleteYour " after" is more romantic. You created a soothing atmosphere with the lamp and with all the other delicious touches.

What a lovely area to sit and enjoy spot of tea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet spot to eat. I love how romantic this is.. xo marlis
ReplyDeletePenny, we've had some nice rains here and the temps much lower. It's marvelous! Lovely setting on your sun porch. I'd eat all my meals right there!
ReplyDeleteHi, Penny! Glad to see you're getting a little rain. The whole country just about needs it right now! Here in the Kansas City area we are on an ozone alert today. That doesn't happen a lot around here. I have elected to stay indoors!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to paint the light fixture and the mirror!!! They both really look perfect in this room! I can see that great wall clock in the reflection of the mirror. Really super! Everything in here looks as if it was selected specifically to enhance this space to your specifications!
I hope you have a good weekend and that the weather chills out a bit more for you. Take care!
The linens are gorgeous! Well everything is gorgeous! You always share such beauty with us. Thanks for joining TTF this week.

Penny,
ReplyDeleteLove the door in the corner with the mirror on it!! Great Move! And I really like that light fixture over the table!! Now I know where you get all your style from... Your Mother!! Gluing flowers onto silverware!! Who knew!!
My mom was the opposite of me..Everything was a "dust collector" and she would always say to me "Why are you buying more things? and Where are you going to put THAT now?" It was a real downer not having any of the same tastes as your family. My mom and My Sister liked everything brand new and old stuff was Junk to them and not in a good way...
Hugs,
Deb
Love the mirror! Thanks for sharing this with us at One Sharendipity Place this weekend!!

ReplyDeleteIt's been a great Summer here in Florida this year. Lots of sun and rain. It hasn't been terribly hot either which is so nice. I would love to enjoy Summer from your beautiful room with the French doors and your new arrangement. It is fun to move things around. It's like getting something new for nothing!
