These vintage aqua lamps were $5 ea at a yard sale.... |
I think they make a wonderful addition to the buffet. |
This table was pretty rickety (is that a word???) when I found it at a yard sale for $5. H worked his magic with some glue.... |
and a little white paint. I love it! |
Sales are a great way to save money on decorating items! I'm not talking 50% off either.....80% is so much better! I went to HL yesterday for the 80% off all summer items and found some great stuff! |
My new french bird pillow....Reg $25 |
Little ice cream sign...reg $17.95 |
Couldn't leave the matching welcome sign behind! |
Sweet french iron stake... |

You found some wonderful bargains, Penny. I don't think I have ever seen green lamp shades like that before. I bet they cast a cool glow when lit. HL? Summer sale? Oh no- I don't dare go- I am trying to get rid of-not buy more!;>) So far, I am doing pretty good- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love yard sales, antique malls, flea markets, etc. I am willing to pay more for a specific item I want though rather than ending up with the box lot at the auction and stuff I don't need. That is hard and they always seems to put some good linens I want with a bunch of stained ones. It drives me crazy.
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds Penny..those green lamps are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun you're having! I love the ivy vignette in the first picture. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
That table was a great find! It looks great pained white...love the lamps too!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Christy
I'm all for thrifty Penny! I'm going through withdraws right now, the heat wave has me stuck in the house, and I'm missing the HL clearance!
ReplyDeleteI love that table with the white rose drawer pulls. Cool!!!
ReplyDeleteOne good thing about silk plants, they do not need watering or die. However, the leaves tend to need cleaning. You have great ideas at decorating.
ReplyDeleteI just love your blog...always something pretty to share. You found some wonderful décor, I went to Michaels and found some 80 off I guess that is time to hit the stores.Happy Shopping!
ReplyDeleteYou reminded me about HL summer sales, thanks. Love how the green lamps look and the repainted table is a goldmine find. Have a nice day :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures and lovely groupings!!

I love this room and my lanai looks so much like it. I should throw some pretty vintage things over my sofa out here to change things up! You always inspire me to make things more beautiful! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThis room with all the white makes me feel so cool and happy! Love the lamps!! I hope I can find something like that for my new place! I do love thrifty shopping! Thanks for sharing with TTF this week!!

Great job Penny. I find it so fun to decorate with thrift and yard sale finds. I would much rather find a treasure than an expensive figurine. Just not my style. Hubby allows me plenty of money to spend on décor, but I like the hunt. I was raised frugal, and it's in my blood. lol! Especially love the table painted white! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,

ReplyDeleteHi Penny! Love your bargains! Now I have a question for you. Did you paint your pretty little aluminum cake cover? It's so sweet. I have one and have been waiting to figure out what to do with it.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hi Shelia, If only I could paint something that beautiful.....It was painted by one of the local girls that own a shop called Two Shabby Diva's. Hugs, Penny
