Our rose garden is just beautiful...so many blooms! I went out this morning a gathered a bunch of roses to do a bouquet in the kitchen and one thing led to another...and another! |
I decided to use my good gold tea set and silver ware...I don't normally use them for everyday eating, but I am today! |
This pitcher belonged to my grandmother.... |
The kitchen smells so good....just like a rose garden... |
I used a piece of wide sequined lace as the table runner... |
This gorgeous tea set belonged to my mother....there are 6 tea cups and saucers, 6 dessert plates, sugar & creamer, and the tea pot. |
here is the marking on the bottom. |
I thought it would be fun to put the silverware to the side of the plate...instead of split on each side of the plate as I normally do....I also added a fresh rose... |

Very pretty! That's my Grandmother's china pattern! I'm sure you already know this but just in case, it is called "Federal Coral Pink" by American Limoges. She got her set in the 40's and a relative broke a bunch between when she had it and when it was given to me, so I had to fill in some pieces. If you're looking for a gorgeous coordinate, it is called "Treasure Island" by American Limoges. It is exactly the same coral pink, except the pieces have a beautiful bouquet in the center (the plates) or on the trim. They are a perfect match. Also, if you love Aqua, they have the same pattern (Federal) and that color is called "Federal Araby Blue" by American Limoges. When I was looking at them they seemed to be a lot harder to find than the pink ones. Love them!
