I am serving soup for lunch today in my Swan soup tureen. I've been humming "seven swans a swimmin" all morning...can't get it out of my head! |
I am serving soup because I wanted to use my new "handled" soup bowls that we bought at the auction last Saturday. |
From what I found out when I Googled them, they were used to serve creamy soups. |
There were a few odds and ends pieces in the set... |
For $19 I got... 5 handled soup bowls and under plates.... 4 small bowls.... and 2 saucers. |
I couldn't find the pattern name but they are Noritake M Japan. |
I bought this beautiful soup tureen at an estate sale a while back... |
......as memory serves me....less than $20. |
The weather has been so mild that we still have roses growing in the garden. I cut these pretty yellow ones and 6 pretty pink buds this morning. |
