1953 Cadillac Convertible....isn't she a beauty! |
She's the centerpiece for the table that I have set for ..... |
Two very special guests! |
I bought these Santa chairs at a yard sale a few years ago for a couple of dollars each....one of my best finds ever! They have the sweetest faces and lap full of presents... |
I love the cow skin paper on the top present in this chair... |
I found some pink poinsettias for the table. The table cloth is a pretty pink and aqua plaid.... Do you know how hard it is to find pink plaid????? Found it at the last place I looked...Walmart! |
I am serving the coffee in this vintage glass pot....love the gold pine cone branches on it... |
I used vintage pillow cases for the place mats.... |
and layered the plates.... |
Our guests will have their lunch.... |

Love the Caddy. I am on the hunt for a little truck or convertible so I can put a tree in there. Found a English panel truck

Great post with all your pretties.
Merry Christmas.

Very Festive! The plaid tablecloth accents your pastel colors in your design. The lovely aqua and gold china accents the precious car carrying home the tree. Your reindeer plates are perfect for the season and add to the layering of the china. The chairs with Santa heads add an special touch to your Christmasy scene. Have a very Merrry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteSo much prettiness in aqua and pinkish-red!
ReplyDeleteMi piace la tua bella tavola così apparecchiata!Mi piace pure la macchina vintage!Baci,Rosetta
ReplyDeleteThe car is awesome and goes beautifully with the blue pastel plates! I especially love the reindeer ones. It's a very well-styled table!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny,
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a Christmas tea table in pink and aqua but it looks gorgeous. The china and the decoration is really very nice. Thank you for this happy tea time and have a wonderful Christmas time,
Best greetings, Johanna
Merry Christmas, Penny!
ReplyDeleteYour vintage glass coffee pot is especially GORGEOUS! And the car and aqua china cup is great, too! So refreshing!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great tablescape! Love the bottle brush trees. I just bought some in Penney's and got them for a steal ( will post about that soon)
ReplyDeleteI know I have told you before how much I love those aqua plates. And the pink plaid is divine! So pretty!!
We had 5-6 inches of snow on Sat. and I had to drive to work in it. UGH! and will be getting another 1-4 inches today with temps. around17 degrees but it will be in the 50's on the weekend!! CRAZY!!

Oh what a lovely tablescape. I love all your fabulous vintage finds too. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteIsn't that what Christmas is about, shared memories and things we love. Smile!
ReplyDeleteMy mother had (I now have) one of those turquoise rimmed plates with the gold squiggles that she used as a cake plate. I had no idea that it was part of a set of dishes (we never had the set - only remember the one). Do you have any information on these dishes (i.e. were they sold thru grocery store?) which could explain why we only had one? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Carol! It is my understanding that if they are marked England on the bottom, they are part of a more expensive set. If they are not...they were part of a Safeway Grocery store promotion. Have a blessed Christmas...hugs, Penny
DeleteHello Penny,
ReplyDeleteYour tablescape is brilliant! I love the china you are using, and that marvelous vintage tea pot too! The pink tablecloth looks amazing. I am sure your special guests will appreciate your fine imagination. The Santa chairs are indeed an incredible find!
Hugs,
Terri
Love the vintage pillowcase place mats!!! Wish I could see them a little better... at the top under the pine cone is that a doily? Love love love this!

ReplyDeleteHi Penny, I'm a big fan of vintage anything and especially vintage glasses. The turquoise colours are so fresh and somehow look very Christmas-y indeed. The Santa chairs are just plain fun and your whole sun room looks lovely. Wish I was one of your special guests. :)
ReplyDeleteYour caddy is just adorable! Your tablescape is very funny, amazing and pretty

Your home looks darling as usual but especially for Christmas! So glad you shared at Friends Sharing Tea!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty table Penny. I love the vintage dishes and especially the Cadillac and bottle brush trees. Your tablecloth is unusual but I rather like it with your colour theme today. The Santa chairs are fun. Have a great week! Pamela
ReplyDeletePenny a very pretty table, pink fits no matter the time of year. Lol, dad use to put our Chistmas Tree on top of the room of his cadilac and we would drive home. I love the sun room adn the brightness it holds for you each day. Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful, but the caddy takes the prize.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the title of the post I thought you had bought a new vehicle!!! I was expecting a photo of you posed behind the wheel. LOL
ReplyDeleteThe 53 caddy makes me think of my uncle who always had to drive a new Cadillac. The first one I remember was that model year. The pieces hanging on the chair backs in the sunroom are very cool.
ReplyDeleteThis is just darling and I love every bit of it. I love the fabrics too. The plaid and florals. The colors. Gorgeous. Thanks for the inspiring post.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this table. The dishes, the convertible and that cute table cloth! I must have one, WalMart you say? Those chairs are too cute. Your table just puts me in the Christmas mood!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful table and the colors are terrific! You definitely have a knack for creating lovely settings!
ReplyDeleteBlessings from Still Woods Farmhouse
Your table is unique and beautiful! I love the vintage items!!!! The tea pot is a star! I have a recent love of light blue and red together. My mom gave me her china that is similar to yours - 1950s era. My teenage daughter has claimed it as her own. Your reindeer salads are gorgeous. Did they come as a set with your china? That's a wonderful way to have Christmas china without finding space to store a whole different set. Lovely, lovely!!

Whoa!!!! You found that great pink plaid at WALMART??!?!?!?!! I am hustling my hips straight on down there this afternoon to look for it!!! Oh, my goodness! I have wanted pink plaid forever!!! You just totally made my day with this revelation! Now I just hope I can find it at one of the Walmarts here in the Kansas City area. I have 4 nearby, and I'm going to hit every one of them until I hit the jackpot. Wish me luck!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, GREAT score on those Santa chairs!!! What fun! They're a really whimsical addition to your Christmas decor! Somebody took really great care in creating those!
LOVE your china!!! And that convertible...the cat's pajamas! James Dean would be proud! :-)
Have a very merry and safe Christmas, Penny!
Hi Alycia! Hope you find some at one of the Walmarts....it is in the fabric....flannel....$2.98 a yard. Wishing you a Merry Christmas...hugs, Penny

Wow, there are so many wonderful things to respond to, Penny! The caddy is fantastic and looks perfect with the backdrop of bottle brush trees and pink poinsettias. And that pink plaid tablecloth -- I love that! Those are the cutest little chairs I've ever seen, and I've never seen anything like them before! This is just such a sweet and whimsical vignette that just has to make you smile every time you walk past -- it would me!
