Paris rose tray.... |
This is how this corner of the kitchen counter looked at Christmas.... |
My gosh, Penny. I grew up using a churn JUST LIKE THE one you have written FLOUR on. I have never seen another one like it and I looked all over the farm when Mother came to live with us and it was gone. So were several other things. I think that someone came along and just took her stuff when she was suffering from dementia. All of her cast iron pieces were gone, too...but that butter churn was close to my heart. How fun that you found one! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love the churns--and that rooster really caught my eye. Haven't seen one like that before--how cute!

I have never seen butter churns like those! I always thought they were of wood. I adore that rooster!
ReplyDeleteI just love the fabric roses you made and your kitchen theme is perfect and matches all your rose dishes above. Mr. Rooster looks great! I have not taken down my Christmas decorations yet. I have a new linky party called Meet The Neighbors if you want to come link up sometime. The 1st party starts today and will be every Friday. http://www.housekaboodle.com/meet-the-neighbors-linky-party/

ReplyDeleteI have never seen butter churns like these. I would love to find one! I love what you did with the kitchen decor. Rose gardens are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, love the fabric roaster and all the pink. But I don't think my hubby would let me decorate in pink. Even though real men wear pink :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting my site today :)
Penny,
ReplyDeleteOkay, I have never seen a Butter Churn before and here you have a collection of them for heaven's sake! You are amazing , girl!! I adore that rooster!! So sweet!! Everything looks so pretty as always!!
I have no idea when and how long it will take me to get everything down and put away. Plus I have been buying like a crazy woman for next Christmas and for other Holidays. Maybe by the end of Jan. I will have put Christmas away...
Hugs,
Deb
So very beautiful how you decorated the counter, those churns are great and I love the idea of the dried roses in the basket. A wonderful corner in your kitchen Penny!

The butter churn is so cool, and I love how you used the sifter!
ReplyDeleteI recently sold one of the first Dazey churns. It was marked patent pending. I had it for about thirty years, but I am slowly trying to sell some of my things. My only son teases me about leaving all of my things to him. He is a minimalist.
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat pink roses for pretty, and you have lots of pretty pink roses. Happy Pink Saturday, Penny.
I wish my kitchen was large enough for a corner to decorate. You do it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI have never known anyone with a butter churn collection. Of course the ones I have seen around me are the size of an industrial milk can!

Visiting from kammy's korner. I've never seen jar like that, I love them! I'll have to search now :)
ReplyDeleteWhat inspiration!! My MIL gave me a churn like this and I don't even have a clue where it is. I have never used it and thought about getting rid of it! It is old and in perfect condition. I may have to rethink that! I wish my kitchen was as lovely as yours, but I don't have a lot of room and what room I have on the counters, I need it for cooking! I would rather have the lovelies displayed as you do!! Happy VTT
ReplyDeleteYou are just so amazing!!! : ) hugs!
