Yard Sale Junkie

I'm a yard sale junkie!    I love going to them and I am so excited that winter is over and yard sale season has begun!    We went to a bunch of yard and estate sales Saturday and  found lots of treasures!

This beautiful yellow rose plate is marked  Hutschenreuther- Bavaria Germany on the back.    I don't see many yellow rose plates so I was happy to find this one......for $3.
The white picture frame was $1 and the silk bouquet was $3......
Pretty vintage table cloth....$3
Embroidered Mr & Mrs pillow cases $2.....
Small needle point piece....  .50      Three small crocheted pieces for $1.....
Set of 7 rooster place mats....$3
Pillow was half it was only $1.50
We went to some estates sales later in the afternoon and most of them had 1/2 off everything....
I got this big box of  silk greenery and flowers for $1.50!    One piece of greenery still had the HLtag on it... $12.99!

I found another pair of large salt and pepper shakers for $3.    I have one set, and have been looking for some more...I thought that my craft glitter would look neat in them.

40th anniversary plate was 1/2 it was only .25

The full sheet was $1.25......the other pink full flat was only .50......the pink eyelet table runner was $1  and the large pink gingham table cloth was $1.
Hope you all had a wonderful Saturday....and are enjoying a Happy Mothers day with your loved ones!

  1. Penny,
Some amazing buys!! I especially love the plate!!

  2. That rose plate is gorgeous! It was bike week here so I did not go to the sales this weekend.

  3. Ahh, yes. Garage sales, rummage sales, yard sales, estate sales....the hunting season has begun!! You have bagged some nice treasures on your first day out!

  4. Oh...the rose plate is marvellous! Other wonderful treasures

  5. I thought everything you found was wonderful. I haven't been to the garage sales since injured my foot..can't without limping and can't seem to find a pair of shoes that don't hurt. BUT, this coming weekend will find us back in business..and out there seeing what treasures we can find. I say "we" but actually it's just me that hauls things home..and often to just give to my girls. Like you, I love to change things around..but lately I just come and visit you instead! :) Hope your Mother's Day was as wonderful as mine.
    Hugs to you, Penny!

  6. Oh my goodness Penny, what finds! The Bavarian plate, vintage table linens, vintage shakers all for a steal!

  7. You sure hit the luck with fantastic sales, I'm so envious .Love every thing you got, the frame, vintage table cloth and yellow rose plate are my very favorites, which were yours?
We live west of Grand Junction, CO and things are quite hard to find here and if I do the prices are out of sight, even at yard sales and especially thrift stores. Do you live in Midwest or East? Seems that's where the real bargains and awesome finds are. We used to live north of Bowling Green, KY where I found goodies I loved all the time.
    Enjoy your pretties. Happy days

  8. I'm loving those Mr. and Mrs. pillowcases! How cute!

  11. The hunt is so much fun, isn't it! I miss living near a bigger city - there were sooo many more sales nearby! I love Estate sales too and now auctions....looking forward to finding bargains. LOVED your post!

  12. Love your finds! I wish I had as much luck as you do!

It makes my day to hear from my friends!
