We decided to keep the shed mostly white, but I love pink so we added some Utterly Pink (Valspar) and a soft green. |
Didn't H do a awesome job! |
We named the old potting shed....Miss Penny's Tea Room.....I painted the sign! |
H decided to put some plant benches in the little nook made by the addition of the "wings". He had to cut down a couple of twin headboards to make them fit in the space, but that's no problem for H! |
Here's the plant bench the other side of the tea room. |
On the left, you can see how it looked after the old paint was scraped off. |
Below is a photo of how the shed looked last summer.... |
See how it looked before H added the "wings" |
H also added a flower planter under the window..... |
Another photo from last summer....before the new flower planter was added and tea saucers were glued to the window. |

Oh how precious! I want a playhouse. I honestly don't think you outgrow this! It would be my little space to read and relax, not to mention when my grandbabies come. What a beautiful little tea room.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, gorgeous. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteStunning, stunning, Stunning!! I love the addition of the pink and green colors! It makes it really stand out and I think it is even more pretty !! And the "wings" are also a great addition as are the benches!! I saw about 5 headboards while out to yard sales this weekend and I would love a bench like yours but handy is something that Joe is not!! Now my Dad could have whipped one of for me in a jiffy. It is times like this that I miss him so!!
I worked all day out on the patio, cleaning and straightening it out and planting more flowers!! Will be sharing it soon!!
Hugs,
Deb
Such a wonderful tea house! If you lived here in Oregon, I would borrow your hubby to make my place lovely! I love the little green trim work and Look forward to seeing all the interior.
ReplyDeletePenny it is a delight to read your blog. I leave refreshed after stopping by for a visit. One of my favorite home bloggers started selling Essential Oils and I got so tired of it just being a selling tool for her....so glad I found you!! You stick to blogging and not selling although I am sure you could sell some of H's homemade item. What a creative man! Love Penny's blog!!!!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog. I love seeing the flea market items re-purposed into things of beauty. You are so blessed to have H
