I love the Ballet

Kyleigh and I had so much fun shopping at the yard sales Friday.   Our granddaughter will be in the second grade this year ....she's growing up way to fast!   She will have her first ballet lesson next Tuesday,   so these Barbies caught her eye.
There was a young girl...maybe 16...selling some of her Barbies at her mothers yard sale.   When I say some....I mean ALOT!   She probably had 300 Barbies!   They were all priced from $3 to $10....most still NIB.
Of course,  I was thinking ahead to Christmas and how I might use some new figures  ( Kyleigh said I could borrow   in my Nutcracker and I love the Ballet themed trees that I have done in past Christmas's.    This is the tree that was in the entry way Christmas 2013.    This photo shows the only ballet Barbie that I had until Friday!!!
Here's a close up of some of the ornaments on the tree.
I now have five new ones to decorate with this a sweet little baby one...

I think this one is my favorite....

Christmas ballet stockings....

Isn't this one beautiful.....   I bought mostly $5 ones,  but the girl selling them let me have them 3 for $13.
Christmas 2013 entry way Nutcracker theme....
Kyleigh loved this set of three sisters....we have had so much fun playing with them!

I also found a sack of Christmas stuff for .25.    It had three fairies,  5 leaves,  and 2 snowflakes in it.

This is my ballet tree from 2012.

I am already planning my 2014 tree....I know some may think it's too early....but it's never too early for me!

  1. I've always loved Barbie and these are no exception, great score. What a lucky little girl to get these beautiful dolls.

  2. I can't believe the price you paid for the Barbies - AMAZING SCORE!!!!! I have purchased many Barbies for my niece when she was much younger and none cost less than $35.00 each, so you got quite the bargain. Your tree is going to look lovely - and it's not too early to start planning. I went to Hobby Lobby today and all of their trees are up & decorated and they have several aisles all of Christmas - which got me trying to decide on my own holiday decorating for this year.

  3. LOVE it! As a young girl, I loved my Barbie and Skipper dolls. I had one of the original Barbie Dream houses and car!! Wish I had them now as they are worth a fortune!! Loved seeing the pictures at Christmas time. If you have not already, please link up to my friend Sherry's Christmas party here:
I know she would greatly appreciate it!!

  4. I agree. It is never to early for me either! I love your decor!

  5. The new Barbies will be perfect come Christmas. In the mean time Kyleigh will have so much fun with them. At our last yard sale my friend sold all of her daughters Holiday Barbies nib for $5 also. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  6. who doesn't love a Barbie doll ?
I would have had to buy some of those beautiful Barbies and I don't Have a granddaughter LOL
I like everyone you and your granddaughter bought

  7. These dolls are just adorable, Penny! My daughter dances, so we've had to buy any dancer doll that we've found. I love that set of three sisters--too cute!

  8. What beautiful dolls and trees and decorations! I'm a yard sale person, too, and would love to have had one of those Barbies - and I only have a son!

  9. Your displays blow me away! Thanks for sharing @ TTF!

  10. Thanks so much for sharing with Wednesday's Adorned From Above Link Party.

  11. I had a ballerina Barbie and she was my favorite. I used to want to grow up and be a ballerina. Later when I got my own house the first ornament I got for the tree was Clara from the Nutcracker. I later went to see the ballet too, it was magical.

  12. Oh, Penny - these are marvelous and perfect for you! I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,

It makes my day to hear from my friends!
