Saturday at the Auction

Saturday we went to the auction of an old school mates mother.    Her home and its contents were being auctioned off because she had moved to a retirement community.
She must have dabbled in ceramics because there were boxes of molds and quite a few pretty ceramic pieces.
I picked up this set of three decorative  dishes......I loved the ceramic roses on the front.    The one on the right has a bit of damage on one of the roses,  but the other two dishes are in perfect condition.
I thought this pipe rack with the tobacco jar humidor would look great with H's collection of smoking items......(we don't either one smoke)
This soup tureen and ladle will be headed to my booth....
I think this spring I will make bird nests in these ceramic clocks.....
Aren't these pipes unique?   Big....regular....and tiny..
Kyleigh is claiming this sweet child's plate......said she needed it to feed her sorry Kyleigh...her babies....
Lovely little covered ceramic box....
As I looked at my final photo,  I realized that I forgot to show you the......

 Vintage skates.
They are a little rough,  but with new laces and a little cleaning I can see some possibilities!   I think they are pretty old because of the wooden wheels.
I am so excited....there are two BIG antique auctions this Saturday.....wish I could be two places at one time!

  1. All your wonderful finds! How do you decide what to keep and what to put in your booth. I would think you would want to keep it all.
