I love to decorate with pastels....esp. Pink.....
Here is the pastel fall wreath that I made to hang on the front door. I used a large head of sunflower seeds and just added a silk rose wreath and a burlap bow. |
I filled a vintage wicker settee with real and faux pumpkins.....the faux ones are the two on the left, and the real ones are the two on the right. |
My scare crow secretary is ready to do some typing at the desk.....lol.... |
I am in love with the new colors of pumpkins that are available now..... |
I wanted you to see how the settee looked without all the pumpkins in the seat. I bought this settee at a yard sale this summer for $20....H said it was a piece of junk, but I bought it anyway! It has a piece of wood that covers the springs and also some cushions, but I choose not to use them this time. |
H tied big stalks of sunflower heads to the columns......and of course I had to add some roses and bows! |
Our porch from past falls.......my oh my....... |
how your taste in decorating changes over the years! |
I used a big bale of hay for the coffee table and have it set for a nice cup of tea later. |
Remember my post on this big field of pumpkins and sunflowers..... |
The field is owned by some friends of ours and they were nice enough to let me have some sunflowers for my porch.....thank you Dan! Here is Kyliegh out at their office by some of the large pumpkins that they grow and sell. On the right is H harvesting some of the sunflowers for our porch. |
We have been in the process of having a new roof put on and the porch has been covered with tarps..... |

Hi Penny,
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy seeing the pink and white pumpkins instead of orange. Apricot is pretty too. I'm not really an orange person although I may sneak a wee orange pumpkin in now and then. I'm very much a pastel gal. I like how you used the hay bale for a coffee table; great idea! And of course I love your pink tea set sitting there. Thanks for joining me for my Autumn Tea party and Happy Autumn, my friend!
Blessings,
Sandi
I really like your pastel fall porch. I have not even started to decorate for fall yet.
ReplyDeleteYour porch is just so inviting - I love all of the soft pinks (I also don't do orange) and roses. I really like the plaid throws you have scattered about, the colors are perfect! I don't think I have ever seen sunflowers with such enormous heads - they are amazing!
ReplyDeleteEven Fall is pretty there, Penny, and FEMININE and FUN. Great job- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteAn unexpected use of pink and wicker for fall, and it looks great!

I love the new color of pumpkins too Penny. I am still wanting to get one of those that look like terra cotta. I have picked up a few fun ones though. Will be switching out my Fall porch to Halloween this week. I love the springs showing on the settee. The faux pumpkins are so pretty. Now days it's hard to tell the faux from the real! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

Wow, your porch is so pretty in pink! This is so different from the typical fall set up--it's inspiring! Your pink and very light orange (I think?) pumpkins are great in that settee.

Oh my! Are the pink pumpkins real? They look adorable as decor pieces. I love your take on fall decor, in combining your aesthetic with the usual fall symbols. Also, your unconventional color choices are adorable. Thanks so much for giving us a tour! Wishing you the best of health this season!
