I hadn't seen a chandy for sale in a yard sale or at the auction in FOREVER.....and then .....there were three! Two of them came from yard sales and one came from the auction. |
This is the one that I bought at the auction.... |
Yes, that's a big pot you see over there on the stove, H is making chicken and dumplings today.....yummmmmy! |
I'm not a big fan of green and orange, so this one may get a new coat of paint! |
Now for a closer look at the one on the right.... |
It has lots of crystals to add when it is hung.... |
There are also quite a few tassels to add. The shades are metal....I hadn't seen metal shades before. |
The last one has some pretty porcelain on it.... |
I bought this one from an older couple that had just remodeled their dining room.... |
I'm sure glad that they didn't want it anymore! |

Oh my gosh, those are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your chandeliers! I would have a hard time parting with any of them. But I would have fun redoing them...have fun!
ReplyDeletePut the green and orange one in your booth. It's pretty, but not your colors at all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great haul you made! And yummy chicken and dumplings too! I think you had a red letter day!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. I'm with spymay. Put the one you are not fond of in your booth.. I bet someone will love it. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty. Great finds.

Wow, three! Great finds and getting harder. Definetly keep one! Di@Cottage-wishes
ReplyDeleteComing your way via Stone Gable's The Scoop. When I saw your link title I couldn't click fast enough---I just adore chandeliers. You scored big time with these 3! How exciting, I say you have to keep at least one :-)
ReplyDeleteFondly,
-Lisa
I love the porcelain one. Hope you keep it and find a fitting place to put it. :)
ReplyDeleteKeep them all! I have yet to find one in my travels and tend to be a hoarder so I would not be able to part with any of them... You are one lucky gal....Just GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteBrooke
O My!! The chandys are great!! I especially love the last one which is stunning!! Great finds!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Deb
Oh wow, you hit the mother-load! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteWow, great chandi scores Penny! Looking forward to seeing what you do with them.

I love the 1st one - put would end up painting it too.
ReplyDeleteLove the chandeliers! You always get such amazing things. Your mantle for Halloween is so cool. Have a great week. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteKeep the ones you love, and ready the others for the booth. I love the one that the older couple didn't want anymore. all of them are nice though. I'm no help!! LOL I would keep them all..EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!
ReplyDeleteHaving collected more than enough antique & vintage light fixtures for restoration of our historic home, I think #1 would fit the look of your kitchen best. The green parts are fine as they are, & the orange parts could be changed to various shades of rosy pink to coordinate with your other decor---blur &/or lightly distress the new paint so it doesn't look too perfect next to the aged green areas.
ReplyDeleteOh, I guess the chandelier isn't for your kitchen. But assuming your other spaces are decorated in a similar style as the photos above, I'd still pick the tole chandelier (#1).
ReplyDeleteGuess I'll have to go with the one that has the porcelain, love the old style. I don't know diddly about chandy's but know what I like to look at. Enjoy whichever one you can't part with, be interesting to see which it is.
ReplyDeleteHappy week
What a selection. My personal favourite is the one with the cord effect.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day
Lots of blessings from South Africa
Penny, I am happy I don't have to make the choice of what to keep and what to sell...it would be hard to part with any of those beauties...I would most definitely keep the unique one with the metal shades...second choice is the first one you showed.
ReplyDeleteDo hope you return the visit!
Have a great week.
Those are all so gorgeous, I could never decide!
ReplyDeleteThose chandeliers are all such great treasures!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I'd be in a dilemma just like you and would probably keep them all, lol! Beautiful Penny!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween.
FABBY
I love your chandeliers. My hubby is not a fan of them so I don't think we'll be getting any but at least I got to enjoy yours!
ReplyDeletePreciosa!!!
ReplyDeleteBuen finde!
Simply lovely, even in their slightly slipshod shape---just imagine the conversations and holiday meals and lovely parties beneath their twinkle and shine! And the years they've accumulated amongst them---must be generations when all added up.
ReplyDeleteYou DO have an eye for a find, and your artistry with their renaissance is a treasure, as well. Can't wait to see them all primped up in their new clothes, with their eyes bright and their earbobs polished..

You hit the chandelier jackpot!!! I know they will look amazing!
ReplyDeleteChandeliers are getting rare around here. I vote for keeping two for you and one for the booth. I would have to keep the first one - it is so graceful. I know you can transform them all beautifully. Thanks for sharing them at Make It Monday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming and linking up at #TheWeekendSocial. Please be sure to come back this week starting Thursday at 9PM EST on KitchenDreaming.com ! I hope to see you there! Pinned
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh how lucky you were. I say keep two and put one in the booth. They are getting harder to find. Can't wait to see what you decide. Thank you for sharing at Share It One More Time.. Cathy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful chandeliers! Great finds!
ReplyDeleteOh it would be so hard for me to chose but if would hold onto all of them with the wait and see attitude....then you could switch out whenever you felt like it! or put one in your gorgeous garden!
