Pink Pumpkins for the Cure

I wanted to do a post in October in honor of my mother ....she was a breast cancer survivor.  I made a special pink satin pumpkin with white roses and lace.

I have my "Mother" teapot sitting in a sea of pearls...

This was my Pink Pumpkin for the Cure vignette last year...

And this was my first Pink Pumpkin for the Cure tablescape.

I did this post my first year of blogging....2012.

Here is the link to that post if you would like to see it................

  1. I LOVE your pink pumpkins! The are all wonderful but my favorite was the one in all the lace that you did long ago.
Even the pink pumpkins that look perhaps painted, are fantastic..even plain. I enlarge every single photo..but the ones you did long ago would not enlarge! :(

  2. p.s. The satin one with the big white roses... ummmmmm...wonderful! :)

  3. Bonjour,

Une belle pensée et une belle initiative que celle de la citrouille rose pour toutes celles qui se battent contre le cancer du sein...
    Gros bisous ☼

  4. All of your ppink pumpkins are gorgeous and very romantic. I love the laces and the roses. What a lovely thought for an important memory and for an important cause.

  5. Penny, that table is over the top gorgeous! Makes me want to buy lots of lace and get busy layering! :)

  6. So beautiful...what a wonderful table in support of a wonderful cause.

  7. Those pink pumpkins are to die for!!

What a beautiful tribute to your sweet Mother!! Well done, my friend!!

  8. Love it all. Love the pink pumpkins. I would love to do those in my home but we do a scary Halloween for the neighbor kids so it would be too pretty for that! I always enjoy your pinkness.

  9. Gorgeous pink pumpkins, Penny! So your Mom was a survivor? Heck of a lady! I know it takes every bit of strength and courage a person can possibly muster to get through the horror of breast cancer. It's nice that you would make these pumpkins with your Mom in mind. 10. What a lovely idea - Pink Pumpkins.

Your tablescapes are amazing. We have 4 cats so that wouldn't work in our home. And, I don't have the eyes for home decor design, only jewelry.

  11. What a sweet tribute Penny! My Mother was a breast cancer survivor also. You have created so many gorgeous pink pumpkins over the years! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  12. What beautiful ideas you have for decorating. I really like the pink and white pumpkins. Thank you for sharing with the Clever Chicks Blog Hop! I hope you’ll join us again next week!

  13. Your pink pumpkins are perfect! I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,

It makes my day to hear from my friends!
