I always like to add a touch of Christmas to each room in the house, so ....many times I just add to the existing decor.... |
All the sequins on the candles are sewn on by hand,,,,,not mine, that's for sure! The felt pink poinsettias are sewn on by hand...no glue guns back in the day. |
The bedroom door at the far right of the photo gives you a peek at the faux fireplace in the master bedroom, |
Reflecting in the mirror is a small wall between a guest bedroom and the guest powder room..... |
I added Christmas to my milk glass that is on the shelves year round |
Here is a better photo of that small wall... |
I am standing in the laundry doorway to take the photo. To the left of the powder room door you can see the built in cabinet.... |
I added Santas, ornaments, trees, ribbons, etc to the existing milk glass displayed in the cabinet year round. |
There is also a small lit cabinet at the end of the hallway that holds more of my milk glass collection. |
It's so easy & quick to add touches of Christmas to existing decor! |
I always look back to see how I decorated an area last year and try to do something different......photo above is .2014...... below is 2013..... |
Above is Christmas 2014 and below is 2013 |
I tried to take the pic at the same angle as the year before.......2014.....below....2013 |
Your home looks like it should be in a magazine! Very pretty.

My goodness! Penny, I have never seen such lavish and lovely decorations in my life. Your home rivels some of the better Christmas stores. One thing I have learned from you is to use my crocheted pieces..to use candle stickes for something other than candles..lots of little tips. Everything just gets prettier and prettier. It has to be such a lot of work to unpack and pack it all so carefully that it continues to look new. A work of love, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteOhhh...your home looks gorgeous! I love your hallway with all these wonderful decors. The pink tree is fabulous. I like your new pink decorations but the before in white was fantastic and very elegant too.
