We swapped the sofa in the sun room with the one in the family room! If you have a similar color scheme in your home, most of your pieces can be moved from one room to another for a fresh new look |
On the left you can see how the sofa looked in the family room......the photo on the right shows how the sofa from the sunroom looks in the family room now. |
When I had the other sofa in here, I used mostly pink accessories. With the "new" sofa in here, I am using more "warm creamy" colors. |
The serving bar picks up the warm yellow in the sofa..... |
I added a rocker that is covered with a warm yellow and pick fabric. The big lounge chair and ottoman are covered in a striped fabric that matches the stripe in the sofa. |
What is H doing today? he's mowing the back yard for the first time this season..... |
He is also cleaning up the greenhouse.... |
What am I doing? |
I created a simple spring vignette in the TV armoire.... |

He does stay busy, Penny. That's a good thing for both of you.
ReplyDeleteI don't move furniture from room to room in this house like I have in my other homes---it just doesn't work that way here. xo Diana
I am always totally amazed at how you can move pieces of furniture around to different rooms, Penny!!
ReplyDeleteMy house is just too small for that......But I LOVE watching you do it!!
Love the yellow in that sofa!
Hugs,
Deb
Nope, the furniture in our home is..not compatable from room to room. The family room has dark furniture, and an awful couch I have to live with that cannot be moved. The door are also small which would make it difficult. AND an 81 year old husband that does not mow the lawn anymore. :) Old folks here. He could mow the lawn but has chosen to do other stuff I guess. Anyway...Happy St. Patrick's Day to you~! I love that little lamb with the splayed legs. She looks like I feel. :) The switch looks great, Penny, but then of course it would! Cozy and comfy. What a grat place to curl up for a nap!
ReplyDeleteI' m really enchanted..wow! Your are amazing, Penny. You have a great talent to decorate and to move furniture from room to room.

ReplyDeleteOh, goodness...I don't know where to start. Let me sum it up by saying you have a beautifully unique style! I could spend my days and nights in your sunroom. And your greenhouse, oh wow, how I'd have a hard time saying goodbye to that during our brutal winters here.
ReplyDeleteJust love your blog. Visiting from Martina's party . :)

ReplyDeleteIt's fun to mix furniture up for a new look Penny! I am constantly swapping out tables, ottomans, and chairs. My sofas pretty much have to stay where they are now. We moved our upstairs furniture down stairs and bought new for upstairs. We just mowed and fertilized our lawn as well. Spring is here! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
