It's a pretty pink scarf that I bought at an accessory store for $12.99. Not only can I wear it, it will do double duty as a home accessory. |
The next thing I wanted to show you is the framed black board on the table in the corner of the dining room.... |
I've seen these black boards get pretty pricey... |
Hi Penny
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed reading your blog for years. Love the colors that you decorate with. It's all beautiful. I wanted to make a comment. When viewing your blog on my IPad everything shifts to the far left and is very small, and hard to make out. I don't understand why this happens. Your blog seems to be the only one this happens too. Has anyone else had this problem that you are aware of? Thanks!
Hi Penny,
ReplyDeleteLove your decorations and ideas. I love to visit your blog and I of course enjoy leaving comments. Blogger seems to kick my email back so in case you do not get the email telling you that a comment (by me) has been left, I just want you to know I did. Does that make sense? LOL
Hugs,
Debbie
Love your decor so nice
ReplyDeleteBonjour chère amie,

Really great ideas, love them all. Love your Blog and your adorable decorating. Everything is always so bright and cheerful
ReplyDeleteI love your style! I have used flannel scarfs for table runners at Christmas time, but never thought of using them in other seasons. Great tip. Maureen......www.redcottagechronicles.com

ReplyDeleteThe gift bag that looks like a Chalkboard is unreal!!!! Amazing!! I did frame gift bags before but I have never seen any that looks like a Chalkboard!!!! Fantastic!!!
I wish I could set my Dining Room table more but we eat there every day and Joe has to spread the newspaper out all over it to read it in the morning so you see my problem???????? Men!!
Hugs,
Deb
Very clever and cute! Thanks for sharing! Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Penny. I do the same thing..use things for purposed other than what they were intended. One of my favorite things to do. Second hand Rose..that's me! Your scarf makes the perfect sweet table topper. I can never get enough bunnies.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason your pictures aren't showing up for me and i am bummed because I always love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas, Penny. I purchased a scarf at Payless Shoe Store a few years ago and used it on a fall table. Scarfs work so perfectly down the center of the table....and then you can always wear them when you get bored with decorating with them :) I love your idea of using the gift bag as a chalkboard look, too!

Great tips, Penny! I never would have guessed your table runner was a scarf or the chalkboard picture was a gift bag! You encourage me to think outside of the box when decorating. Hope you're having a fantastic week! ~Amy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table runner! Thanks so much for sharing at Thursday Favorite Things!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful room! You have some lovely things! I'd like to invite you to share your post at my linky party!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I was impressed with the scarf turned table runner, but the framed black bag is pure genius! Thank you so much for sharing your tips at This Is How We Roll Thursday. I hope you come back to share more great tips.
ReplyDeleteI love all your little bunnies! What a sweet and inviting table you've set in a wonderful room.
ReplyDeleteThese are some great ideas, Penny but I simply love the blackboard bag. So cute. Thank you for sharing at Share It One More Time. Cathy

Penny, You're a girl after my own heart! Your decorating style is what I lean toward. My house is decorated with antique furniture, for the most part, along with antique tea sets, doilies, etc. You have inspired me to do more. The Victorians didn't hold back, so I'm going to quit holding back after seeing what you're doing! Thank you for the inspiration!
