I have one little flower garden that is "For the Birds"...lol! |
I have a shovel and an old coffee pot filled with bird seed for our little feathered friends..... |
Here is a better picture of the shovel. It is a vintage shovel that has been welded to a piece of rebar. |
Two sweet cherubs holding a bowl of seed.... |
H made this large birdhouse a few years ago from some wood scraps that we had on hand. I have placed it in the "wuggy" |
They are always dreaming of catching a bird.....and sometimes they do! |
Love your place for the birds. I love having the birds in my yard and I have so many hummers/ They keep me busy making their sugar water. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised that they birds come to the wagon with the kitties laying there.
Have a great week.

That is a sweet spot for the birds, Penny. Makes me wish I were winged and could visit it in person. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWell, if the birds do not like that beautiful place you've created just for them, then shame on them!
ReplyDeleteI love how you feed the birds!!! each piece is so unique and creative. I just have regular bird feeders :) the shovel is just awesome. Love the way the whole bird area looks.

I love watching the birds that come up to our feeder, our cats just sit on the deck and watch them. I love the coffee pot feeder the most that is such a great idea, I saved an old tea pot, thinking of putting a small plant in it but I might have to make it a feeder now :)
ReplyDeleteI really love your flower garden 'For the Birds'. You always give me such wonderful ideas...thank you!

Love your Bird Garden ~ especially the shovel! My bird feeder had to come down when we rebuilt the patio cover last summer. Now it sits over on a wire rocker outside near the pool and spa. Hopefully it will get back up on a post very soon (future project and post! ;).
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday evening to you,

Very beautiful. I am sure not only the birds enjoy this beautiful spot but humans as well. You always have such charm and beauty at your place. Thanks for sharing. Karie
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that I missed all these recent posts of yours. Work has been awful and I have been so tired lately.
Love this cute flower bed. We had a major problem with our neighbors feeding the birds by throwing out bags of bird seeds in their yard. The birds roosted in our trees and covered our yard with bird poop.
Joe had to shovel up and haul out almost all of our mulch in the back and then replace it. The neighbors are on notice that the police will be called if they continue to do it. We were having flocks of 50 -60 birds in our trees.......
Hugs,
Deb
What an enchanting area! Thank you for sharing at the Art of Home-Making Mondays this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun garden Penny. At my previous home I quit bird seed out because our two cats were constantly catching birds. I felt like I was bring them in for the kill. lol! Now we no longer have cats and I am out of the habit of putting it out. lol! I need to start doing it again. Love the whimsical shovel feeder! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
