Switcharoo & Fairy Garden Mantle

I have been having fun switching some things around today.
  I had changed the slip covers on the sofa and love seat in the family room a few weeks ago....and then the area rug didn't look like it matched very well.   Seems like if  you change ONE little thing....lol...and the whole room needs to be refreshed.

I had started to look for a new rug and hit the jack pot at the auction Saturday....

No one wanted this beauty and I bought her for $5.    H took her out to the drive way and gave her a good cleaning with soap and the water hose and she looks like new!

On the left you can see how well the blue and pink rug went with the old slip covers.  

 On the right is the new slip covers,  mantle and rug.

Where did the blue and pink rug go?   I moved it to the formal living/dining room.   There is quite a bit of blue in sofa.....doesn't show up very well in the photo.   Anyway,  I will set in later and add some more blue and pink accents to the room and I think it will look good.

I had bought some fairy stuff on clearance a couple of weeks ago and it has been sitting in the garage.   I planned to make a new fairy garden for the back yard,  and hadn't found time yet.    I decided to refresh my spring mantle this morning and remembered it was out there....still sitting.

So,  I brought my sack in and added to the existing decor on the fireplace.

Kyleigh  brought me this fairy from school.....at the end of the year,  they let the students pick from some "unclaimed" things that at been left at school.

  

The tea leaf wreaths are from Joanne's......$30 marked down to $10....

I have a few more things to show you from the auction....a giraffe lamp.....yes,  I said giraffe lamp!
