The opposite wall got new wall decor. We took out the shelving unit and replaced it with a vanity to coordinate with the one across from it. |
I shopped the house for the majority of the accessories that you see on the vanities. |
I have had this bust for many years and decided to use her as the focal point of the vanity. I moved the lamps that were in the entry to the guest bath. |
The new soaps, lotions, and hand towels came from Tuesday Morning and TJ Maxx. The cute owl is from Joann's |
I don't think this metal piece was meant to hang hand towels on, but that was what I chose it for (Michaels) I used a candelabra to set some hand soap on. |
I hung an architectural piece over the toilet and replaced the chandy . The chandy we took down had two lights that didn't work....it just needs to be rewired and I will find a new home for it. |
I put some reading material near by....in case you need to sit a spell! |
I went to a simpler window treatment and neutral rugs. |
Gorgeous! I love the lighter look and less items on the counter. It makes each treasure stand out more.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Penny!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look!!!!
Oh wow, every inch is stunning. Those mirors are totally amazing.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Penny! I love the new wallpaper. Jane
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I am saying this, but sometimes less is more. The eye can focus on all the lovely architectural details you have added to this room. And the wallpaper recedes into the neutral palette, really loving this space now, wonderful finish!
ReplyDeleteI love the new look ! Yes, sometimes less is more !
ReplyDeleteWow! Gorgeous! The two mirrors are stunning!

I am in love with your scaled-back guest bathroom. The color palette is soft, and displays your "things" beautifully. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNice! I like using that piece from Michael's for towels! That paint-able wallpaper is so nice with the pattern it has.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Penny

Beautiful makeover - great new look! It's funny, but I also had so many "treasures" decorating every inch of my home, but as I get older, I am slowly purging and going for a less cluttered look. I do love my stuff, but am also loving a lighter and "less is more" look too. I really, really like your wallpaper - it definitely makes the room with its added texture.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!

It's a great new look, Penny! Pink is usually a very soft calming color, but changing to the more neutral really softens the room and makes it more elegant! Great redo! Have a wonderful weekend! Blessings, Cindy
