I've had this spring wreath on the wall for ....I don't know for sure....but maybe 4 years. Winter, spring, summer and fall. |
H painted this pretty wood piece for me to hang in the place of my "all season" wreath..... |
I don't know what it was to begin with....maybe a headboard or the back to a buffet? |
The vanity cover is a work in progress, you may even be able to see the straight pins that are holding it together. |
I'm going for a less cluttered look in the bath this time, but I will be adding a few accessories to the vanity top later |
Penny, don't you just love old architectural pieces? I have the top front of an old upright piano that I haven't decided what to do with yet. This piece could have been from an old player piano, the center opening would have been where the player roll went. I could see it also being from an old sideboard or fireplace mantle maybe with a top shelf on it and wood columns on each side and a mirror in the center. Anyway it look great in its new life. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I hope you are enjoying the process! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteMaking changes is hard and trying to find a creative look even harder! I am still working on getting my place th way I want it and it will be a year I have been here as of Nov. 1st.
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the finished project!! I love that piece of wood that H worked his magic on! I am almost done with my super cleaning and purging in the Kitchen and the next room for a super cleaning is the upstairs bathroom which I will start at the end of the week. We are having temps. in the 90's here and I am stuck in the house with the air conditioning blaring!
Hugs,
Deb
H came up with a brilliant idea for that piece! Whatever it once was, it was created to eventually be stunning art work in your bath! Beautiful work so far, anxious to see the finished room Penny,
ReplyDeleteAmazing! This looks gorgeous! You are truly blessed with a gift! ps.. I LOVE lace!!! There is never too much! ;-) Thanks for linking up at the Marvelous Monday Link Party! xo!
ReplyDeleteLove that wood piece to frame your lovely wreath!!
ReplyDeletePenny, The architectural piece your husband painted is amazing! I am so in love with it! I am working on decluttering my bathrooms and trying to update the decor before winter. I don't know what I was thinking of when I picked the color "Gingerbread" way back ten tears ago. I am thinking Palladian blue and white with touches of coral pink. I would love to find a beautiful architectural piece like yours to paint and hang over the mirror.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you can stop by to visit my blog in the next day or so and leave a comment, I am celebrating my second blog anniversary with a fall table linens give-away and the winner will be announced Thursday on my August 20th tablescape post... Have a wonderful afternoon..... Candy
