The Softer Shades of Autumn

I am a romantic at heart and like to use the softer shades of Autumn

My theme for  decorating this year will be to add seasonal touches that work with my existing decor.
White/ grey furry owls....

Simple sweet bouquets of cream roses and cotton bolls......

Pale yellow nubby pumpkins....

Pink plaid tablecloths and linen napkins....

Creamy white pumpkins....

Touches of nature....

Different textures.....

Soft candle light.....
 
Whimsy....

Non traditional flowers.....

I plan to use this theme for Halloween,  Thanksgiving,  and Christmas as well.     I want to spend less time decorating and more time enjoying the holidays!

    Beautiful! Have you seen any of the blue or pink pumpkins? A local high school agriculture club grew some last fall and they were so unique! Hope I see some this fall! Thanks for sharing this special post!

    I have to admit that I like the softer hues too, Penny. I'm not really an orange person. Although I don't mind red. The softer colours are more soothing, I think. Happy Autumn!

    It looks very pretty. your tablecloth is beautiful. I like to spend more time enjoying these times outdoors and with family and friends than I do decorating as well. I like things to look nice and seasonal in my home....it's nice to have a balance.

    I apologize that i have not been by sooner. I had no internet for awhile and then worked 3 horrific shifts at work. Some of the worst nights I have worked in years.....
    This is so pretty!! I love everything but the owls really caught my eye! So pretty and charming and so you!!
