Christmas Came Early to Our House

For Christmas this year,    H and I decided to give each other a new look for our master bedroom.    We will exchange a special  surprise gift at Christmas,  but our new look in the master bedroom will be our main gift to each other.
  We wanted to wake up Christmas morning in our "new" bedroom,  so  we started last week by getting new bedding.   This week are working on a new look for the fireplace and the rest of the room.

I shopped the house and found two extra chairs in the family dining room that worked perfect on each side of the fireplace.   The sconces that were on each side of the fireplace  came down and I replaced them with two mirrors..

I ordered new ruffled curtains ,,,,,,,,

The Battenburg curtains in photo 1 went to the guest bedroom along  with  the old comforter from our bed.

  The new ruffled curtains are open in photo 2 and closed in photo 3.

We moved the black trunk that was at the foot of the bed to the right side of the bed to be used as a lamp table.   H made me a bench to put at the end of the bed.

The bench has extra blankets on it  to grab during the night if we get cold,    it makes a great place to sit down and put on my shoes and we pile the pillows on it at bedtime.

I wasn't pleased with the pillows arrangement that I had on the bed before,   so I found some pillows that I thought worked better.




Don't you love the splash of glam on the new pillows?    I already had the round 50's pillow in the center  and I found the square glam ones to each side of it at Ross.    They were tied together with satin ribbon......2 for $17.95.   I cut the ribbon in half,  tied a piece on each pillow,  ans added a pin from HL to glam them up a little more.    The furry sequined throw also came from Ross.....$16.

I am excited about the new neutral colors in the bedroom....

 

To change the look later,     I can add accessories in pink,  aqua,  just about any color I want.

I also tweeked the side table decor since you last saw it.....
