High Tea Christmas Mantle

The theme for the formal living/dining room this year is "A High Tea Christmas Party"      I can't wait to show you my High Tea Christmas Tree.....but,  that post will come later when the tree is finished.
Today I want to share the mantle .....

Since all the tea party guests will be dressed in their finest attire ,   a white glove Christmas garland is the perfect touch for the mantle

I have flocked pink flowers on the mantle,  Santa's.  and some tea party related decor......

Anyone for tea?

I bought this Santa serving tea at Dillard's several years ago.

I haven't used this big Santa head in several years,   I almost put him back in the tote  when I looked at his big red hat today.   Then it came to me......Just give him a new pink hat....why didn't I think of that a long time ago?

To give my ruffled pillows a holiday feel,   I  pinned a pretty Santa head on the front.

These tree's are just on the table temporarily.      I hope to find a pretty live poinsettia plant tomorrow when I go shopping    It has been  cold here since Thanksgiving..    I haven't been out of the house since last Wednesday....yep.....I really need to get out.

I also haven't done my hair or got out of my pj either......my bad!!!     I did run a comb thru my hair every day and change into fresh pj's....lol!     Being retired has been everything I hoped  for!
I hung this Merry Christmas sign on the easel that was just sitting there next to the chair.....I haven't decided if it's going to stay there or not.     I usually hang it on a door.

I hope to finish my High Tea Christmas Tree sometime this week......and decorate the buffet ......and do a tablescape.....never enough time to do all the things that run thru my head.....!

  6. I had to laugh when I read your post today. I could not agree with you more. Retirement is everything I wished for. Stayed in a pair of pj's for two day..fresh ones each day of course..because...I decorated for Christmas in them. Like you, I ran a brush through my hair and pinned it up and that was it for the day.
I love the new pink Santa hat. Too darned cute! Such cute idea's...so much fun to see what you come up with...such as the garland of gloves. I mean..who else but Penny?! :)

  13. Being retired is the best. I'm in year three and still loving it. The white glove garland is my favorite but the bottle bush trees festooned in jewelry are running a close second. Thank you so much for sharing at Vintage Charm.
