Vintage Baby Cribs on the Porch

I think I find some of my best treasures at the spring yard sales.     Seems like people are more in the mood to let go of  their clutter....lol!

I bundled several things at one of the yard sales and the lady gave me a really good price.

I bundled  the pretty tufted floral head board that you see propped up in my vintage iron baby crib.

This vintage wooden baby crib......

And the wooden chair to the left of the iron baby crib......all for $20

I've had my metal crib for quite a while and you may remember seeing it on the back porch last year....photo on the left.   Who knows where it will show up next year!

I have the cribs at the far east end of the front porch.....

The wooden crib filled with "stuff" to keep people from sitting on it until H has a chance to reinforce the seat so it won't dump somebody....lol!

Now I need to work on the west end of the front porch.   I won't put much on that end because we have birds that nest in the tree above it and they sure do make a mess!

I wanted to share the photo of our home that  I took from across the street.
The tree's were just gorgeous this spring.   I took this photo a couple of days ago and now the trees are about half green and the oaks are leafing out.

  1. Nice photo of your home. I had one of those antique baby beds for my kids back in the 70's. Love them!

  3. Penny,
OMG!!! What an incredible deal for $20 on all those lovely items!! The floral headboard is to die for and so are the vintage cribs!! Wish I had room for something like those beauties!! I posted my Easter Tree this morning and I am still doing my Easter decorating.... I can not believe the amount of Easter stuff I have so I am a bit overwhelmed!!!
I deleted this comment once before because i really screwed up and typed $200 instead of $20!!!!!

  13. I love your porches and the creativity in your decorating. It is a good thing you filled the wood crib with stuff to prevent people from sitting in it because it really does look like a cozy place to curl up for a good read or nap.
