Decorating with Vintage State Fair Ribbons

I have added some vintage State Fair ribbons to the Farmhouse feel that I am giving the kitchen.    Winning a blue ribbon at the State Fair is one of the highlights of a farmers year,  right?

I thought my dried flowers deserved  blue ribbons.....

A couple of pink ribbons too.....

This sweet metal sheep won a blue ribbon!

The blue ribbons were all gone......

So, the rooster had to settle for a pink one.....

I bought all the ribbons the vendor had  (4)  so I had to steal a couple from the roses to see how they would look attached to the ribbon banners tied to the back of my chairs.       I like them there too!     The blue chair is H's and the pink one is mine!

 You may remember that I had two pink piano stools under the snack bar before.   Well,  I moved two chairs in from the studio and put the piano stools......

HERE.   under the Hoosier table.

  H was always  having to move a piano stool over here  (the Hoosier does double duty as an office) so,  I moved them over here permanently!

The Hoosier also servers as a coffee station.

We took a quick trip thru Fredericksburg on our way back home from Port Aransas.     The blue bonnet fields were just gorgeous around Fredericksburg and I couldn't resist picking up a Hill Country Bluebonnet candle at the Circle E store.  

I will have a nice flower pot after my candle is gone.....

My sheep also came from Fredericksburg.

 I picked up a few packets of blue bonnet seeds to plant in the back yard.

I still have one more area to do in the kitchen and I will have my Farmhouse kitchen finished....see you soon!
