This Weeks Yard Sale Treasures

Lots of good yard sales to check out over the week end!     I have plans to make a piece of yard art with the pretty lamp....maybe a bird bath.....

I have plans for using some mirrors in the sun room.....

I am still on the look out for a third mirror for the sun room....

H found a vintage hoist that he plans to use in the yard....can't wait to see what he has in mind.....

The island is full of free or nearly free items......

I don't normally look at old trophies,    but they were free and I like the colors.    I plan to use the red, white and blue ones in Memorial day decor

You can't give away Christmas stuff in May....well.   I guess you can!    These pretty  Christmas by Krebs ornies were in a free box.     I have ornaments to do a small Frozen tree for Kyleigh and these will work perfect.

These were free because one is broken.   I see possibilities,  so they came home with me

This vintage scale works and is painfully accurate....lol!    It was almost free at the .25 price.

If you look back at the stove,   you can see that H was cooking some carrots while I was taking my photo's .....

Simple but yummy!
 Steam a package of baby carrots......saute a couple TB of chopped onion in about a half stick of butter.......add chopped garlic to taste (H likes a lot of garlic)        Combine all the ingredients and sprinkle with parsley     Cover and let the flavors mingle for about 30 minutes (I think they are better reheated the next day).    We are having them with out left over steak from last night .
