Patriotic Tablescape

We enjoyed some precious family time Memorial Day!
  Late in the afternoon we cooked out  and had dinner at the farm table on the front porch   The farm table is really long...easily seats 12.....   Since the table is so long,  I decided to use the long bread bowl that I keep on the coffee table in the sunroom as my centerpiece.   All I added to the existing bread bowl was some fresh cut red roses and a cute Patriotic couple Easy peasy centerpiece for Memorial Day.

For the place settings,   I layered white ironstone plates and added a red, white a blue paper plate to the top for some color.  

We had Brazilian Lemonade which doesn't contain any lemon ,   lol.....just lime juice and condensed milk.....and maybe just a splash of Vodka!     There are lots of recipes for Brazilian Lemonade on the internet.....mine is very simple.....a can of frozen lime juice concentrate,  4 cans of water,  a can of condensed milk and finely grated lime peel.     

Our Menu......
.Ribeye steak,   salt potatoes,   Mexican street corn on the cob,   grilled veggies  (asparagus. onion, bell pepper, yellow squash, and watermelon  .....just brush your watermelon slices with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with cilantro and grill til you have nice grill marks)  
 Dessert was store bought ice cream  (Tillamook)    A dip of Oregon Black Cherry and a dip of Oregon Blueberry Patch makes a easy red, white, and blue dessert!   

Sorry,  no photo of the farm table set for dinner.....time got away from me and everyone was here before I thought to take pics of the table.    My family has "forbid" me to bring the 'blog" camera to our private family time,  so it was too late by the time I thought of it!

Part of the porch was decorated in softer shades of red, white and blue.....

and other parts of the porch were decorated in the brighter shades of red, white and blue 

I plan to leave all my Patriotic decor out at least until after the 4th and maybe until after  Labor Day!
