Mid Summer Dining on the Porch

H and I like to eat outside as much as we can during the summer.    It hasn't been quite as hot,  so I have the table set on the back porch for dinner tonight.

The back porch is on the side yard  that's right off the sun room.....

The porch is surrounded by trees and is shady most of the day.     When we get ready to eat,  we'll set up the the free standing fan from the front porch to make it a little cooler.

I freshened up the existing wreath on the faux fireplace by taking out the yellow flowers and replacing them with blue silk roses.

I have the table set with pink metal chargers,  cobalt blue plates,  and pink ruffled bread plates.

We'll need plenty of cool beverages on hand......

The blue and white  floral  place mats are a recent yard sale purchase......8 mats for $3.      I made a table runner with 3 of them,   put one on the back of each chair and  the last one is on the fireplace mantel.

Did you notice my little photo bombers......lol!

  4. Nice you are able to enjoy your outside dinning. In Texas, you definitely would not be able to do this.

  10. What a beautiful setting for a beautiful lunch! I love everything about it. From the tree in the middle of the deck, to the dainty pink lacy plates! Does your faux fireplace stay out on the deck?
