Changes in the Dining Room

We have been enjoying some much needed rain here in Eastern New Mexico the last few days.   I've been taking advantage of my "inside time" by cleaning and making some changes around the house.

Yesterday I focused on the family room dining area.

I......um...me and H..... switched the white chairs from the family room dining table with the Duncan Phyfe chairs that were in the formal dining room.

When on a little break from moving furniture around,  I had fun playing with dishes.....

I found these cute fall owl napkins on Amazon and can't wait to use them at a dinner party.

I played with layering cloth napkins and using a large blingy bracelet as a napkin ring.

Back to work.......

Under the window in the first photo you can see a DP table doubling as a buffet.    When it's opened up and married to the existing table it makes one large squareish table.     A 38" x 62" table now becomes a 62" x 74" table!

H and I needed a break from all that furniture moving....lol.....so I played with decorating the table again!

I   "borrowed" some owls from my fall tree to use in the centerpiece.

Usually there is sunlight pouring thru the dining room window at this time of day,  but it is cloudy and raining outside today.   We are expecting more rain tomorrow......what can I do inside to keep busy.;.....we'll see!

  17. Your home is always so lovely and inviting! Having lived in Albuquerque for over three years some time ago, I was shocked to see you're in the eastern part of the state. I thought you were maybe in New England or back east somewhere. You sure fooled me.
