Christmas Wedding Tablescape

I was so excited when our granddaughter announced earlier this year her plans to have a December wedding.    It's such a romantic time of year!

Her wedding is next Friday evening and the decor for the reception is being stored at my house until we can decorate the  church.     So while I had the wedding decor on hand,   I played with it a little bit this morning!

You can get a sneak peek of her bouquet on the stool at the end of the table......

Here's a close up......

I've assembled the centerpiece for the bride and grooms table here at home      I will take a picture of it on my phone and duplicate it at the church.

I think it will be so pretty when we light the candles.....

I don't have the champagne yet,  but the bottles will have these fur wraps on them at the reception.

The large potted poinsettias will be on the cake table

I've made big gold and silver bows to tie on the chairs at the bride and grooms table......

Sarah has picked metalic red square plates for the reception but I wanted to show you how you can use pink with a traditional red and green themed tablescape.

I found these red and green plates with a pale pink background at Tuesday Morning and thought they would be perfect to tie everything together.

Put the pete  four on the lacey pink dessert plate and fill the glass with dessert wine and you have a simple and quick dessert.

I wanted to give you a better look at my pink....red....and green plates.

I will try to share a few photo's of the wedding and reception later......

Merry Christmas!

My daughter and son-in-law were married seven years ago on December 11th. Their wedding was the first Christmas wedding I had attended AND was the most beautiful I had been too! You are right, Christmas weddings are so special!

Blessings on your granddaughter's big day!

  7. Penny,
The tablescape is stunning and those dishes are to doe for!! I had a friend that got married at Christmas and the bridesmaids wore red velvet and carried white fur muffs with a red poinsettia on them. It was gorgeous...
