The Blue Bonnet scent mixed with the smell of the freshly cut blooms from our Ornamental Pear tress make the room smell heavenly! The center piece of my table is a Mama Jackalope and her two babies. I don't know if a Jackalope is a real animal or a fictional one.... but here is a link to some info for you to read and decide for yourself.....http://www.legendsofamerica.com/wy-jackalope.html |
The table settings are pretty much the same......white charger, blue and white entree plate, bunny hand towel between the plates, blue water glasses........ |
I placed the hand towel between the plates and folded one end under to tuck my silver ware in. I also tucked a paper napkin in the fold....not your normal setting....but fun for a change. |
This is the first piece that I bought for my collection a couple of years ago...... |
I added two coffee cups and the cream and sugar this year. I also found a spoon rest to set by the stove top. |
I took this photo this morning to show you how the trees are full of blossoms. I had hoped I could catch the sun out today, but no luck so far. It's in the mid 50's so it's still pretty warm, |
I had enough small pieces of flowers to fill my metal scoop too. |
So, is a Jackalope real or not? |
I haven't seen one alive, but I have seen one that had been Taxidermied. (is that even a word...lol!) |
Happy Spring! |
Why of course jackalopes are real! They couldn't taxidermy them if they didn't exist! ;) We saw a taxidermied one out in South Dakota. I LOVE this table - so sweet and fun!
