Spring Tablescape

You need plenty of napkins when you eat BBQ don't you?....well,   I know my family does!    Seems like that yummy sauce gets all over your face, hands, and sometimes even your clothes.   Anyway,   sometimes I put a roll of paper towels on the table to help everyone keep all that sauce wiped up....lol!

Who knew you could dress up a roll of paper towels with a sheep paper towel holder.    Not me....not until I saw this one on Amazon the other day.    Sure looks better than a roll of paper towels just laying on the table.

I loved my little sheep so much I even decided to make it the centerpiece of my table.

How fun is this tablescape,  it's one of my favorites!

I have the menu posted on the buffet next to the table....we're having all the fixin's that normally go with BBQ.

My sheep chalkboard placemat is also a purchase from Amazon.    I thought the pig would be a nice play on the BBQ ribs theme......lol......and I used a live Brussels sprouts plant to add a touch of green to the vignette.

My little plant started out as a big bunch of Brussels sprouts,   but we've had several meals out of it and there's only a little stub left.    By keeping it in water,  it has stayed nice and fresh for several days.

The place settings on the table are pretty much the same.    I have a pretty white plate,  striped pink cloth napkins,  50's silverware,  a paper Easter egg themed napkin,  and lastly a bone dish.    You have to have a bone dish to put your rib bones on!

This place setting is the same except the bone dish has a pretty floral design on it.

Here's a close up of the paper Easter egg napkins.....

I thought it would be fun to serve the dinner rolls in a metal scoop.     When I bought that scoop,  I wasn't sure what I would do with it,   but I have already used it several times.

My white bunny plates are from Home Goods and the pink water glass....well,  I've had them a long time and you've seen me use them a lot!   They are kind of my go to glasses.

Did you notice that I have a new "topper" on the buffet.

It's the oval center from a door that I bought at a yard sale last year.    I didn't know what I would do with it,  but it was too cheap to pass up.    This is not it's forever home,   but I was glad to finally find a place for it since it has been sitting in the garage for months.

I had so much fun putting this tablescape together,   I hope you enjoyed my whimsy!

Til next time!
