My pillow ticking pumpkins were made from the comfort of my recliner, except for one trip to the kitchen to use my glue gun. I had to get a snack so I was going to be in there anyway...lol! |
I wrapped my pillows in fabric using large safety pins to "tape my package together" ( The little pleat you see at the top is where I attached the stem to my pillow.) |
I "bundled" the stem, a lace bow, and a spray of silk flowers together and attached it all at the same time with heavy duty thread and a long sculpting needle. |
I used some wide burlap ribbon for one of the stems.....I just slip stitched this stem too. |
I made one square pumpkin pillow and two small rectangle pumpkin pillow using black and cream ticking fabric. |
I had a big piece of pink and cream pillow ticking that I wrapped a full size bed pillow in. When fall is over, I will just unwrap my pillow and use the pink ticking for another project. |
The stem on this pillow is where my trip to the kitchen for a snack comes in! Cotton fabric ravels, so I hot glued this stem together and stuffed it with a Walmart bag. |
I made all the pumpkin pillows in one evening from the comfort of my recliner |
This was a fun and easy arm chair sewing project! |
Very cute, with the shortage of our garden pumpkins this year, I think I will make a couple for the porch. Grins, thanks, Sandi
