Layering has always been part of my decorating style and rugs are no exception! |
In the sun room, I decided to put a small rag rug on top of my large custom rug. Smooth pattered bottom rug and solid raggy top rug.....love the combination of textures. If you missed the post sharing how I made my custom rug, here's a link to it.......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2017/07/diy-custom-fabric-rug.html |
I like to keep a simple vignette on the coffee table in the sun room and I have this one all 'corralled" in a tobacco basket.. We need plenty of room for our drinks and snacks!. |
All I have in my basket is a floral design using succulents and pumpkins with a white owl to the side of it. |
I've finished decorating the south side of the sun room for fall......if you missed that post, here is a link to it.....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2017/09/fall-wreath-and-pink-pickup-truck.html |
Have you started decorating for fall yet? |
So pretty at your house. Love that big white owl. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteLove how you layered the rugs.. I actually am embarrassed to admit that I never thought of doing that. The white owl is precious!!

Very neat! Thanks for sharing at Friday Frenzy Link Party! PINNED
ReplyDeletePenny, everything in the room is eye candy! I don't know where to look next! The coffee table vignette is adorable, and that snowy owl! Wow. I never thought of layering rugs, but I like the look. Very pretty room.
ReplyDeleteI have not once though of layering rugs, but it certainly looks good when you do it. I have been looking for candelabras for a couple of month and look you have an entire mantel of them. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love your mantel, too, and the sweet wicker pumpkin on the coffee table with your owl. Love owls! Once petted a barn owl at a zoo while visiting family in England. Lovely... sigh!
ReplyDeleteLove the tobacco basket and the owl! Layering is a great technique that adds interest for sure. Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
