When all the leaves are in, I have had as many as 16 at the table. |
To add more leaves to the table. we can push the sofa back up against the buffet and get another 6 feet of eating area. |
I hadn't created a seasonal display on the mantel in quite a while, so what better time than at Easter. |
I have used this wreath and foil bunnies on the mantel in the family room before |
I have the Daddy bunny and two babies on one side of the wreath...... |
I placed a blessing sign front of the wreath...... |
Mama bunny................... |
and two baby bunnies are on the other side of the wreath. |
I have a garland of glitzy eggs across the front and along the sides of the fireplace. I changed the wall decor on the sides of the faux fireplace while I was freshening the room up. |
I like them this way much better. |
I hung a yard long rose picture above each of the tea cup display units. |
You may recognize the yard long pictures from the family room. They have hung on each side of the fireplace in there for years and years........so, I will replace them with a new look soon! |
I still need to tweek the display units a bit. |
Sometimes all you need to do is move things around to give your room a fresh look. |
I had a standing display unit on each side of the fireplace that had to find a new home. The wall on the right was not long enough for the tea cup display unit and the standing units too! |
So the standing display units found a new home on this wall. |
Before................................................................After |
Now, I have to decide if I want to stick with the more formal look of this room, or give it a casual Farmhouse feel! Can I marry the two looks? I guess we'll see! |
You really have some wonderfully sized rooms. If I opened all my leaves we would be eating into the living room. LOL. Great mantel also...all ready for Spring. No chance of that here, yet.
ReplyDeletewonderful!! you are an excellent designer..
ReplyDeleteSo pretty...and I love those glass baubles!!! Thanks for joining Friday Frenzy! Faith, Hope, Love, & Luck - Colleen
ReplyDeleteYour decorating ideas are so fun! Love the foil bunnies. I found some last Easter and had to get a few. Love how they look. Did you make the Easter egg wreath? From a distance the eggs almost look like foil eggs but in your close up picture they look like they might be hand painted plastic eggs to look like foil? It's really difficult to tell because they look so good. Such a cute idea and a great look. Great job if you made them.
ReplyDeleteFormal Farmhouse?!? If anyone can do it it's YOU! <3
ReplyDeleteI love those foil bunnies, too! Where did you find them? I haven't seen any like that recently outside of the ones with the chocolate bunnies inside.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at how many things you have displayed in that room! All of them lovely and tastefully done.
I love the Easter wreath. I am a fan of the colors.
ReplyDeleteYou are the queen of decoration!!!

Penny,
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am definitely into symetry and I LOVE the yard long pictures and matching tea cup shelves on each side of the fireplace! Also loving the 2 stands under each of the shelves on the wall!! Looks great!! And I noticed the you have lamps ( stunning ones I might add) on each of the pillars on each side of the fireplace!! Were they always there???
