Can't see them very well way back there, so here's a close up! |
The goat has the sweetest ears .....and so does the pig. |
We went to a couple of pretty good yard sales. |
I loved this vintage ice cream freezer. The lady that had the yard sale said she spent many an hour churning ice cream with it! |
It's a White Mountain Triple Motion |
The parts all all there, but I really doubt that we will make ice cream in it. But.......you never know! |
I plan to use it as a container for floral designs on the front porch. |
I always look for pretty sheets to use in my decorating projects at yard sales. |
I found this king size set for $10, you can't buy that much fabric for anywhere near that price! |
It also had two shams...... |
We visited several antique shops, but this umbrella holder was the only thing we found that begged to come home with us |
It looks perfect in the entry. Guess I better keep an eye out for some more umbrellas since I only have one! |
A day trip for me isn't complete without a visit to the garden centers |
\ Sutherlands had these hanging strawberry baskets for $10 |
They are loaded with blooms and strawberries |
Last, but not least........I have a big bouquet of lilacs that H cut from our bush in the backyard. |
The kitchen smells heavenly! |
wow! lovely!
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteThe umbrella stand is what really caught my eye!!! LOVE it!! The animals are so sweet and will fit in perfect with your lovely decor! And those flowers are amazing!! Still no signs of Spring around here.... It was in the 20's this morning when I came home from work..
Hugs,
Debbie
Don't you just love a day of going gallivanting and finding treasures and spending fun time together?!!! Sounds like a perfect day!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen an umbrella stand like that one- it is really darling. Those pink poppies in the ice cream bucket are lovely.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Sunday- xo Diana
Wow! What a fun day of browsing and picking up some great treasures! I adore your pink flowers in your new found ice cream freezer, but I do hope you make at least one batch of ice cream in that...it will probably be the best tasting ice cream in your life. My grandpa had one exactly like that and I remember so fondly the summers of his delicious peach ice cream.
ReplyDeleteHi Penny,
ReplyDeleteFirst visit to your blog. I love your home and finds! I especially like how you combine pastels with farmhouse elements. I'm so jealous of all your cut flowers; Spring won't arrive here in Maine for another month and I am so ready.Living vicariously through your photos. ~Cheryl
Love all the goodies you found. The ice cream bucket is my favorite. I have a few old ones like yours that I use for flower arrangements as well but I love the wording on the metal parts of yours.
ReplyDeletePenny, love all the new finds.. And, the critters are just to cute! Have a good week! Leticia
ReplyDeleteI love your ice cream maker, everything was a great find.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by OMHGWW w/Linky this week.
Have a wonderful week!
What fun you had, penny. I like those sheets with lovely roses on them, and your pink poppies look great in the wooden container. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Jesse (from Simply Neutrals Tuesday)
I smiled several times reading your post--the animals and the pink roses (my fave) sheets were my favorites. It sounded like a great day; it's my idea of close to perfect! I have several crocus up here in Maine; we usually have lilacs for Memorial Day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finds Penny! Enjoy :) Thank you for sharing at Simply Neutrals.
ReplyDeleteLove that umbrella stand!! In fact I love everything!!!
