Mom's Farmhouse Kitchen

I love being  in the garden but it's been too hot to be outside,   so I've been working on some new vignettes on the kitchen counters.

I was shopping the 75% isle at Hobby Lobby the other day and found this sweet Mom's Farmhouse Kitchen sign.    I used it as the "centerpiece" of the vignette I created on the kitchen counter.

On the left side of my sign,   I have a wooden chicken,  a plate,   and a metal dust pan.

I swept up a few pretties in my dust pan.....lol!

I have my new sign in the center    I used a white enamel carpenters tool tray as an easel for the sign and put a floral design in the back of it.

I tucked  a small bouquet and a goat family in the tray.

On the other side of the sign,   I have an aqua cookie jar......

And the crowning touch for my vignette .......a quote from the Bible.

Thanks for stopping by......come back soon!

  7. Penny, your new sign and the little vignette you created is very cute. But how do you keep the things so close to the sink clean and dry? Maybe that section of the counter isn't used much? You do have the generous-sized island for work space, right?

Yes, the weather here in mid-Michigan has been intolerably hot this last week. I just cannot stand to work outside in the 85-90 degree heat. But I need to get crackin' and get some things done inside while the heat lasts!

  11. Your entire kitchen is just lovely! It looks like such a happy place! Our car thermometer hit 100 today; we went shopping to several a/c stores including a Goodwill where I had fun! Did my ironing (mostly things for my booth) very early this a.m.!
