Late Summer Garden Theme Mantel

The stores are already full of fall decor and it's making me anxious to do a little fall decorating......are you feeling the same way?     Well,   I have to admit it's still a little early for me,   so I'll do my best to give the fireplace a new look that isn't fallish.      Maybe the sunflowers are a little fallish.....lol!

I'm calling this my late summer garden theme mantel......

Some of the things I did before I started to work on the mantel are......

Took all the greenery off the 3 chandy's to give the room a cleaner look.

I changed out the centerpiece on the coffee table

I made a sunflower topiary for each side of  the mantel

New decor on each of the side tables that are by the chairs

I added a Farmers Market  sign to the existing door on my barn,  then I added a floral wreath print on each side of the door.

I printed off Cottage garden prints to make a banner to hang across the mantel.    The prints are from the July packet that I get from Kerryanne at Shabby Art Boutique.

I wanted a simple  (simple for me....lol)  mantel so I only decorated on the ends of the mantel

Here's this end of the mantel.....

and here's a close up of this end of the garden banner......

I added a Secret Garden door to the existing barn to add a little whimsy to my mantel

I put a pink lantern on each side of the door

The lanterns had to get a make over first though.....

Here's some close up's of the other end of the fireplace mantel

And the final touch to my fireplace was to place a little lamb pillow at each end of the hearth......

I always enjoy your visits so much,    please come back soon!

Please don't rush Fall because right behind it is the awful cold we get. I am not looking forward to Winter again so soon. We just got rid of it in June.
Thanks for your creative touches they are always enjoyed by me and a coworker.
    Have a happy day.
