Fall at the Greenhouse

Here in Eastern New Mexico our leaves won't start turning those gorgeous fall colors for quite a while.

According to the Farmers Almanac,   the first freeze in this area is usually around October 23.....and that sounds about right to me

In a few weeks,    I will add some orange-ish pumpkins and some fall colored mums to my flower bed and it will look more like fall.

But for now,    a  goat cart full of pink mum's will do

I scattered a few pastel pumpkins around the flower bed.....

As you can see,   the sweet potato vine has practically taken over the flower bed.

I couldn't resist adding a couple of pops of orange to the yard.....lol!

I placed one of my pastel pumpkins in an empty planter.

I placed another pastel pumpkin by the mama goat that is normally hitched to the goat cart.

I took this photo about 8 this morning  ......the yard is so peaceful then

I took this photo of the yard about the middle of April.....

The sun shining thru the tree's is making such pretty shadows on the grass!

I think H & I will sit out on the glider after supper tonight!

  4. Sure is a pretty garden area, Penny. That goat almost looks real. Only you know he would have eaten the lovely potato vines . The pastel orange looks pretty in the garden. .Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  8. Hello, neighbor! I live in El Paso and my youngest daughter has just moved 'home' to EP from Albuquerque. Found your blog at the Over the Moon link up party. What a lovely space you have created in your garden. Since I am new to your blog, I am not sure what part of eastern NM you call home. Off to investigate and learn more about you.
