Bee Themed Floral Design

I am simply in love with all the bee decor that is available to use in my summer decorating........

The kitchen and family dining room are decorated in mainly pink and white,   but when I added some pops of yellow both rooms really came to life......

I designed a bee themed floral design in the metal basket that hangs in the opening between the kitchen and family dining room.....

I filled my hanging
metal basket with pink roses and greenery......then I hung a skep in the center and placed a metal bee on it......

To give my bee hive a farmhouse feel,    I finished of my design by adding some buffalo check bows......

I plan to continue my bee theme in the family dining room......

I may use sunflowers in the family dining room......and of course some more bee's.....lol.

I am still working on the kitchen and hope to be back soon to share my bee theme in there with you guys......

These little bee hives.....also know as skep's ......are so much fun to work with.     I played with mine for quite a while before I decided to leave it in the hanging basket.

See you soon with a tour of my summer kitchen!

  1. I just love your style! The mixture of roses, buffalo check and bees doesn't sound like it would go together but you made it blend perfectly! Love it!

  4. Good morning, Penny, What a wonderful center piece. Oh, how I love bees especially Bumble Bees. They are such hard workers and great examples. That should be your emblem, the Bumble Bee, since you and Mr H are busy bees all the time.
    Love, love, love your decorations.
    Keep up the great work.
    Bee Happy!!!
