Less is More Wall Decor, New Snack Bar Chairs, and a Fall Kitchen Tour

I bet you guys never thought you'd hear me say "less is more wall decor" !    I have been purging,  organizing,  and decorating with a lighter touch since the first of the year.    I am really enjoying a simpler look in our home. 

As you can see in the before photo,    I had bowls hung all the way around the kitchen.      I wasn't really tired of my bowls but .....THERE WERE SO MANY!     H took them all down for me.....removed all the nails and had the area ready for me to create a new look for the kitchen.     I hung some of them back up and also hung some bowls that I've had put away. 

I took the opportunity to break up some of the bowls with a yard long Paul de Longpre rose print.

I had a piano bench and 4 stools,   I couldn't bear to part with the stools but I did send the bench to the auction.    I put my sweet pink stools at the piano where the bench had been and replaced them with some stools that had a back on them.  

The backless stools were not very comfy to sit at .....the new ones are much more comfortable.  

Both of the new stools had been in storage so H gave the white one a new coat of paint and made the brown one match it.

Now,   for a tour of my late summer / early fall tour of the kitchen.

The cabinets over the stove got a mini makeover.    I took down the vintage white aprons that I had displayed over the vent and on the doors.    With the aprons hung on the doors,   they had to be open all the time,  now I can choose to close them or leave them open.... 

I have the inside of the cabinet decorated with prints that I found on Pinterest and printed them on my home printer.       Instead of framing them I chose to clip them on a chicken wire frame.

If you noticed,   I had the doors open in some of the photo's and closed in others.   I can't decide which way I like it the best yet.....what do you guys think?

I added some white sunflowers to the existing floral design in the wagon that a metal goat is pulling thru the kitchen....lol! 

 
I created a simple fall vignette in the hoosier .....a white scale,  2 pillow ticking pumpkins,  and a canvas goat picture.
